• The university organised a national seminar on’ Bitumen and New Practices in Road Construction. The seminar was organised by the Department of Civil Engineering, Babu Banarasi das University Lucknow and Indian Oil Corporation Limited.

The university provides facilities like a gym, medical clinic, library, boys hostel, girls hostel, sports, auditorium, cafeteria, IT infrastructure, bank, ATM, etc. The university provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls. Hostel rooms are very comfortable for the accommodation of outstation students. Boys hostels can accommodate 2000+ boys, whereas 1000+ girls can comfortably live in the hostel. Recreational facilities like TV, indoor games are also there in the hostels. Babu Banarasi Das University gym facility has modern equipment. Both boys and girls can utilise their free time working out in the gym.

Students have to meet the eligibility criteria to get selected for the Babu Banarasi Das University admission process. Babu Banarasi Das University Scholarships

The university Lucknow scholarships are available for meritorious students, economically weaker section students and students belonging to the minority communities. Students can also apply for central government scholarships. To avail the scholarship, students have to meet the eligibility criteria. Various scholarships are-

1. Scholarship for SC/ST category- To avail this scholarship, students should have an annual family income of less than Rs 2.5 lakhs. Under this scheme, a 25% fee is waived off.

2. Scholarship for minority categories (Government of India)- Post Matric Scholarship Scheme- Under this scheme, students should have an annual family income of less than Rs 2 lakhs and a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous examination. Rs 3000 per annum is awarded along with a maintenance allowance of Rs 300 per month.

3. Scholarship for minority categories (Government of India)- Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme- Annual family income less than Rs 2.5 lakhs and minimum 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous examination is the required eligibility criteria to avail this scholarship. Rs 20,000 per annum and maintenance allowance- Rs 500 per month is awarded under this scheme.

4. For only 1st year of all Engineering courses (based on rank obtained in the entrance exam)- Students who have secured up to 2500 general rank in IIT JEE are awarded 100% fee concession. Similarly, students securing up to 5000 general ranks in IIT JEE and up to 10000 general ranks in IIT JEE are eligible for 50% and 25% fee concession respectively. AIEEE up to 10000 general rank-100% tuition fee, AIEEE up to 15000 general rank-50% tuition fee, AIEEE up to 20000 general rank- 25% tuition fee, AKTU up to 5000 general rank- 100% tuition fee, AKTU up to 10000 general rank- 50% tuition fee and AKTU up to 15000 general rank- 25% tuition fee is awarded.

5. Scholarship for PG students (for only 1st year)-  Students who have passed the UG course from BBDU/BBDNITM/BBDNIIT/BBDEC are eligible to get a 25% fee concession.

6. Scholarship for Ph.D students (for whole Ph.D programme)-  This scholarship is awarded to the faculty of BBDEG seeking admission in Ph.D and internal postgraduate students. Under this scheme, 25% tuition fee is waived off.

The placement cell of BBDU Lucknow conducts the placement process.  The placement cell of Babu Banarasi Das University conducts guest lectures, industrial visits, group discussions, mock interviews and aptitude tests. Babu Banarasi Das University placement process involves pre-placement talk, resume submission, shortlisting and final recruitment. Babu Banarasi Das University placement cell in association with Reliance group imparts personality development training to the students. The placement cell has also signed MoU with Orane Labs and Reliance to give technical and soft-skills training. An auditorium with a seating capacity of 1000 students, 5 GD rooms for conducting group discussions, 10 interview cabins are some of the placement facilities provided by the university placement cell.
