72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time three/six-year Doctoral program and it is offered by Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
A consistently good academic record and possessing a Master's degree in Commerce / MBA or Post Graduation in Financial Economics / Econometrics / Statistics or Equivalent or ACA/ACS/CMA or M.Phil. in Commerce / Management / Financial Economics / Statistics of Equivalent obtained from any recognised Indian University or its equivalent, with a minimum of 55% marks for General category and 50% marks for OBC/SC/ST/PWD categories at P.G level.
Admission Details
All those candidates who are applying for admission into PhD programmes and have cleared National Level Fellowship Examinations i.e. UGC-JRF / UGC-CSIR-JRF have to apply through CUCET online portal and they are exempted from CUCET Entrance Exam. However, they have to appear for INTERVIEW. ONLY shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview. Some of the Departments may conduct Written test at the time of interview, if required. Preference will be given for candidates with JRF.
