72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time three/six-year Doctoral program and it is offered by Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
A consistently good academic record possessing a Master’s Degree (two years or Integrated five years) / M.Phil. degree with a minimum of 55% marks [50% for OBC (Non-creamy layer)/SC/ST/PWD candidates] in Computer Science / Information Technology or allied subjects, preceded by a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent Degree of three years / four years duration from a recognized University/Institute.
Admission Details
All those candidates who are applying for admission into PhD programmes and have cleared National Level Fellowship Examinations i.e. UGC-JRF / UGC-CSIR-JRF have to apply through CUCET online portal and they are exempted from CUCET Entrance Exam. However, they have to appear for INTERVIEW. ONLY shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview. Some of the Departments may conduct Written test at the time of interview, if required. Preference will be given for candidates with JRF.
