24 MonthsMaster of Science (M.Sc) in Environmental Sciences is a full-time two-year postgraduate course offered by the Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.

Minimum qualifications for admission to M.Sc. Environment Science shall be Bachelor Degree in Science (Medical & Non - Medical, Horticulture Agriculture, Forestry) under 10+2+3 pattern of education with any of the subjects , i.e. Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, MBBS/ B.V.Sc. / B.Tech. or its equivalent from any recognized Institute or University with at least 50% (45% in case of SC/ST) marks in aggregate .
The admission to M.Sc. Environment Science shall be based on merit as determined by the marks obtained by candidates in their qualifying examination . However , if the number of applicants is five times the number of seats, the institute will conduct an entrance examination . The entrance test will consist of 100 multiple - choice questions carrying one mark each.
