Ph.D Applied Sciences is a full time Course. This course duration varies from 2 to 10 years, the student has to finish between this timeline to obtain the Ph. D degree.

Bio-Informatics and Bio-Medical Engineering Computational Structural Proteomics, Computer Aided Drug Design, Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, Sequencing Technologies and System Biology, Biological Database Management System, High Performance Computing, Bioelectrics, Machine Learning, Medical Instrumentation, Ultrasonic/Photoacosutic Imaging and Tissue Characterization, System and Image Processing, BioMEMs and Nanotechnology, Computational Medical Sciences, Health Information Systems 

Mathematics Combinatorial Topology, Commutative Algebra, Functional Analysis 

Physics Experimental and Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics, Photonics and Spectroscopy, Cosmology and General Relativity, Computational Astrophysics, Modeling and Simulations, Theoretical High Energy Physics. Photonic Crystals, Photonic band gap materials & Metamaterials (students may be allowed to do research in other areas of information technology provided a faculty from the department / institute is willing to supervise the student in the specific area) 

Research Scholars to take up the additional assignment of ‘Tutor-cum-Research Assistant’ Positions at IIIT Allahabad, will be compensated additionally with an additional fellowship upto Rs.10,000/- per month over and above their scholarship.
