B.Tech Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at IISER Bhopal Offline Course

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is an undergraduate programme with a duration of 4 years (8 semesters) offered by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal. The programme aims to provide young motivated individuals with a rigorous training, desired level of scientific understanding, and a glimpse of global contemporary research at an early stage to enable them to pursue a career in science education and research. At the end of their first year of studies, a limited number of students are allowed to migrate to another stream/programme, subject to the availability of seats in the respective stream and the student's academic performance.

The first year includes a general engineering and science education. At the end of the first year, students will have the option to choose the ECE or CSE specialization based on their overall academic performance at IISER Bhopal. The second and third years of the B.Tech programme impart the fundamentals of electronics, communication, and computer science through a set of core theory and laboratory courses. The B.Tech programme also equips students to choose their sub-specialization through open and departmental electives in the fourth year. Apart from the courses, the curriculum includes a project dissertation which may span through three semesters. This unique opportunity makes the programme research intensive and fosters the development of students' critical and conceptual thinking skills.
