Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.

Eligibility Criteria
- Students with M.Tech./M.E./M.S. with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 7.0 on a 10 point scale (overall percentage/CGPA/CPI; not only in majoring subject). Such students must have qualified GATE or any other external fellowship.
- Students with M.Sc./MCA or B.Tech./B.E./B.S. with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 7.0 on a 10 point scale (overall percentage/CGPA/CPI; not only in majoring subject) can be considered for direct admission into the PhD program of the DSE Department, if they have a valid GATE score or any other external fellowship. These students will have to do 24 credits of coursework within 3 semesters with an overall CPI of at least 7.0 on a 10 point scale. Out of 24 credits, 8 credits must be from DSE courses.
Admission Details
Admission Based on national level entrance test such as GATE/NET/DBT/JEST/ICMAR (or any other national level examination) and will be selected through an interview process.
