For summary, No it's not a necessity to have Chinese in your 10+2 if you want to pursue BA in Chinese from JNU. In

JNU conducts entrance examination for different master courses. The exam is named JNUEE. The tentative date for the examination was to be between 16th May-30th May,2021. But it seems that it will get postponed due to the high positive rates in the second phase of Corona.
