Ganesh Dutt College, Begusarai, was established in the year 1945, and it is one of the premier constituent colleges in Bihar, India. The institution has spread over a sprawling 25-acre campus and has been a torchbearer of higher education since the past 72 years. The college has a total student enrolment of 22,903 and a faculty strength of 51. 

The facilities provided in the college are at par with requirements for the all-round development of students. One of the mainstays of academic resources, the library comes equipped with a wealth of 32,232 books, including scientific journals and journals relating to archaeology. The playground for sports activities is indeed vast, measuring 60,000 square feet, and is ably supported by the Student Common Room, extending over 4,818 square feet. It has well-organized teams for cricket, table tennis, football, kabaddi, badminton and volleyball. Many of the students represent the college at inter-college, inter-university and even national levels. An indoor stadium is under construction, which will add to this infrastructure.
