This course is designed to prepare students to apply current agricultural practices and technology in the real world.
A B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture students will learn about agronomy, soil science, horticulture (including fruit science and vegetable science), crop production and genetics, entomology, plant pathology, vegetation, chemical agriculture, economics, animal sciences, extended education & the fundamentals of biotechnology, among other topics. The course follows the requirements of the ICAR (Indian Council of Agriculture Research) and is intended to teach individuals in sustainable crop production methods as well as to give general information about agriculture and related subjects.
A person, who has passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) with science stream or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, 45% and above, shall be eligible for the course.
