National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal was established in 1923. NDRI Karnal is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). National Dairy Research Institute stood at 2nd position under ‘Agriculture and Allied sector’ as per the NIRF 2023 report. NDRI Karnal offers Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral levels courses in streams like Sciences, Engineering and Architecture, Medicine and Allied sciences and so on.

National Dairy Research Institute Karnal scholarships are awarded to those who have done excellently well in the past. NDRI Karnal scholarships are also offered to needy and meritorious students. National Dairy Research Institute Karnal scholarships motivate students to perform well in their academics. National Dairy Research Institute Karnal scholarships are of three types- Merit Scholarships to B.Tech students, ICAR National Talent Scholarships and Institute Scholarship. Institute Scholarship	This scholarship is offered to all students of Indian nationality subject to the condition that the student must not receive any other financial assistance from any other source.
