National Institute of Design Haryana was established in 2016 by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. NID Haryana is an autonomous institution offering higher education in the stream and field of Design. NID Haryana offers four-year full-time B.Des programmes which are offered in total 3 specialisations which are Communication Design, Industrial Design and Textile and Apparel Design.
The admission in these courses is dependent on the NID Design Aptitude Test (NID) , which is an combined aptitude test - conducted by National Institute of Design, for admission in all NIDs in India. NID Haryana offers scholarships, grants and awards to the students from meritorious and economically weaker backgrounds. National Institute of Design Haryana scholarships are awarded to the students with a purpose to celebrate the candidate's excellence in academics as well provided with an aim that the student does not leave his/ her education, due to lack of financial support. NID Haryana awards various meritorious students enrolled and the high ranking candidates in the NID DAT exams admitted in the university. Our college is under construction but hostels are done.We are currently in a transit campus.Basic facilities like labs ,library, sports and hostels are there but there is room for improvement .Food is decent.
The official main campus is still under construction. IT labs are well equipped and maintained, but access is limited to standard working hours. The workshop is usually well supplied with standard raw materials required for models, but lacks machines and some of the protective gear.
