Life at NLUO is all about how you choose to spend your time there. You can learn a lot from not only your faculty but also your seniors and the legal community that chooses to be part of your daily curriculum. Most colleges are cut off from the reality of the profession but nluo, thanks to being a relatively young college and being in a remote place, faces a lot of hardship but does well despite these disadvantages.

National Law University Odisha which is situated in the city of Cuttack is an exceptional place to be. for a student here, college doesn't only impart education but also teaches a student life skills. Being located in a delta between two rivers, the residents of the college not only get to see wide green spaces but equally rare animals especially interests. Bugs and beetles. Academically the college is very good. The people of this college have left their mark at various national and international moot court competitions. It's a new college full of possibilities and opportunities. the infrastructure is beautiful and so is the kind of industry exposure the college wants to give us through a variety of academically driven experiences.

You can survive

The campus is located in Cuttack (at the confluence of the rivers Mahanadi and Kathajodi) and although the setting is very scenic throughout most of the year, Cuttack is a small city stuck in time (the 1950s would be my guess). The campus is newly built (some portions are still under construction). Collaboration with other colleges, NGOs, companies, law firms and professionals working in the east (Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Vizag) could help boost the industry exposure. Life in Cuttack is not happening, but if you have the right company, you can survive. Placements- okay-ish, Student crowd- mixed bag, some great, some not so great (like, I guess, any other place)

The experience here is a mixed one. Just like anyone's home you have to do your daily tasks and help each other just like your family. The food here is generally of mediocre quality and hence makes us miss our home in that regard. The placement is not good and the sole reason being the disadvantage of the location but the crowd here is good.Overall I would say the experience is not at all bad.

So Far So Good!

Our college spans over a huge area on the banks of two beautiful rivers. The college being a newborn is still under construction, but the important buildings like hostels, academic block, and administrative block are fully furnished and functional. We hope to have an independently functioning library building soon too. The college is new and is at a geographically disadvantageous position but still with more and more alumni being created our presence in the industry is being marked. Also, the college does very well academically and in non-academic activities which help us to be visible in the market. the college has a lot of diversity among students and students also have relatively greater freedom and socio-economic rights in the campus to conduct themselves. this encourages a lot of student-driven activities which one can participate in. But of course, there is a need for more. The placement scene in college is not so developed yet but it is hopefully on the rising trend. basically, it is a decent place to be as it inspires you to do well academically.
