It will depend upon the merit list which is yet to come. The expected list is to be out by July. So, till then nothing can be assured. Since, you have a good rank you have a good chance to get the admissions in b.sc hon. Keep checking the official site for the merit list.

Yes you can get admission in Punjab university with 80 rank in defence quota but you can only get Biotechnology there as the cutoff for other branches goes very high . For CSE your rank should be under 15 ,for EEE  top 50 for mechanical your rank should be under 70 . You can get mechanical engineering if your luck works on the day of counselling as the cutoff of biotechnology and mechanical are much closer.

There is no specific book for Panjab University entrance exam for Bsc Hons Chemistry. You can refer to other books which will help you in doing good in your entrance exam. The list of books which you can refer are-

• For Inorganic Chemistry- JD Lee, E HUHEEY
• Organic Chemistry- SOLOMNS, Peter Skyes or Clayden
• Physical Chemistry- KL Kapoor

In Punjab University 55% seats is open for general category and rest is reserved for various categories. In it 5% is reserved for son/Daughter or spouse of defence person.

In it paramilitary and army comes toghether.Candidates should be wholly dependent on them to avail this reservation.

From your question, you can apply for Punjab University after your 12th, or even if you are appearing for it in March 2020.

Application for punjab University will begin only in June last or in July.There is 660 courses and 188 recognized courses under Punjab University.

Follow the steps given below to fill up your application form
Step 1 Register Online.
Step 2 Login your application form with login idand Password.
Step 3 Do the payment of the application fee.
Step 4 Login again after 24 Hrs. of payment fee and upload scanned photograph, signature, fill other important information.
Step 5 take print out of the application form and submit/send it along with the required documents to the address mentioned on the print out of the application form.

You need to carry the following documents in your CMAT exam :

• CMAT Admit Card with recent passport sized photo pasted on it.
• One original and valid photo identification. It may include Driver's license, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, UID card or a notarized Affidavit (in English) with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address.
• Notarized copy of Xth Mark sheet or equivalent.
