My college has a nice infrastructure but needs a little renovation and abit of Improvement with regard to facilities We do have wifi and smart boards but both are used only sometimes and not on regular basis and aren't well maintained either. Living spaces are kept clean mostly except toilets and food is quit ok (edible ).
I'm currently pursuing honours degree in agriculture. The teaching quality is quite ok ok as we study mostly by ourselves in library or in our rooms. Yeah ...my studies involves all the current schemes and researches related to my field. Nooooo...what I'm studying isn't smthng that secures my future...there's always a risk of unemployment.
No idea about that but I have heard only bad about the future in this field....unemployment. But entrepreneurship is a great opportunity our college prepares us for as agriculturists. We have scope in extension course here the most.
Around 60k per year is spent on studies and hostel rent. I'm getting a degree (yayy)
My campus is in a village...my life here is comfortable just because of the company I'm having here and nthng else.
I'm thankful for being here and being able to study....the over all experience is quite good as it isn't harmful to my mental health atleast...
Yes it does have all the necessary equipments facilities and infrastructure We do have smart classrooms laboratories and libraries . They are well maintained Living spaces are clean and food is quite good
I am currently enrolled in bsc hons agriculture. The quality of teaching is quite good Yes the circulum is updated and includes all the necessary recent developments in agriculture. Yes it does make us ready for job
I dont think the quality of placements is good in college because I personally haven't seen anyone from the college getting placed in a well reputed institution I have no information regarding that as I mentioned earlier I haven't seen or heard of anyone getting placed anywhere in the college. I dont have any information about the salary offered.
My course costs about 60 thousand / year I dont think my money is getting wasted because I got to learn a number of things from this college. This college helped me to become a better version of myself
The campus os pretty good. The students can engage in different types of activities such as sports , art and craft etc The staff is quite supportive The college lies in the outskirts of sopore town The location is quite safe .
The infrastructure of college is just awesome Everything is up to date and there is digitalized classrooms all sort of study material is available in our library and apart from studies there is a reading hall for book lovers which is good and in sports our college is providing us with a best sports week also celebrated in our campus
In academics our college is rising with the smart classroom it is very easy for students to showcase their presentations and for teachers also its an easy and smart way to provide learning and every student of our college is brilliant
In placements our college is lacking there is no placement for students in our college which i think is a biggest drawback and it should be improved. Placements is necessary for students and it helps alot
I think there is no value for money in this college because the fee charges is increased which i think is not necessary because its an government college and i dont think so i am getting the worth of my money
Campus life is the only thing which i like the most. The students are very much friendly and they communicate with each other in a very friendly way there is no hate and everyone respects eachother which is good
This college makes me feel comfortable
No , our college doesn't have all the facilities and equipments,. There are lacking so many facilities in fields of agronomy, soil science and others which include lab and field equipments and implements. Regarding other facilities in terms of mess and food services, also lacking
I have done bsc agriculture hons from this college. At present I am persuing masters from here , academically it is good , faculty is nice and teachers are trained. Overall good but some facilities lacking which is creating problem for students in there research work.
Placements are lacking here . This college is producing agriculture graduates every year in cents but placements are completely lacking here which has created a huge mess and depressions among students.
Yearly it costs almost 1 lakh including hostel charges and all other charges ,No , as placements are lacking which is creating huge problem among students as fees is huge and no hope left for future endeavours.
The campus as per natural wise it is good , scenic and adventurous, good in academic and social category side but some worst things are attention towards cultural programs and other matters , more categorically hostel side is worst .Yearly it costs almost 1 lakh including hostel charges and all other charges ,No , as placement
campus as per natural wise it is good , scenic and adventurous, good in academic and social category.Placements are lacking here . This college is producing agriculture graduates every year in cents the campus is good overall, I recommend students to come here , as this college is good academically and high nirf rating and research and good point is exposure and students are good here and teacher's also , buildings field works and labs. In case of placements in private that are not very much common providing allmost 4 - 5 lakhs rupees annual package ,but in govt sector almost 80 placement rate throughout India except for jammu and kashmir which is not available, but college prepares students for national exams as well like icar jrf, etc
For me value for money is very much
Campus Life is best ,I have many friends here ,we engage in sports on daily basis as ground is very much beautiful, teachers as well as students are very supportive, campus is also best surrounded by greenery ,mointains
This campus is life for me ,very best campus ever seen
infrastructure is good ,, all the facilities are available here , rest the buildings here are not new ,,, the area of the university is too large having good field area and proper facilities for research.
The academics here is excellent and the the environment here is also very good if your really want to study for long durations and ,teachers are also very much supportive . Library is also very good here.
The rate of placements is very subjective tot he personal capabilities but still university support the placements very much ,and also the startup culture here is also very much supportive in recent years.
definitely is an value for money investment if your are really intrested in the agriculture and want to grow your knowledge in this field you should go this university.
campus life life here is not that much intresting , if your real focus is to study only then only you should prefer this campus otherwise you might get bored here .
Everything is good ,if you want to focus on your studies only ,rest extra activities are not much here .
College infrastructure is best ,Allah the necessary facilities are available, class rooms are clean quiet, campus is surrounded by beautiful mountains and greenery which makes it more appealing and makes environment best for learning, hostel facilities are best ,wifi is provided 24 hrs , laboratory equipment are all available, other curricular activities like sports are daily routine I may consider here that our play ground looks best in kashmir, food is hygirnic Overall the infrastructure is best
As far as academics is considered, more focus here is on practical knowledge , attendance is mandatory which makes us regular students Exams, practicals are held on time The quality of teaching is best ,we are more oftenly engaged in rural village visits and project which gives student real life experience It makes students ready for every exam ,job and business in agriculture
Placements at FoA SKUAST-K are mostly limited in the private sector but after master's 70% students gets offers with minimum package 3-6 lakh per annum However, the faculty provides excellent guidance for competitive exams like ICAR, UPSC,Afo and state-level agricultural exams. Teachers support students with study materials, strategies, and mentorship, preparing them well for government careers and higher studies in agriculture.
My personal review for campus life is best ,this campus provides all the necessary facilities Students ,staff ,teachers are very friendly and supportive Also campus is located in village side , surrounded by lush green forests and mountains which gives feel like in heaven
This campus is best in jammu and kashmir in my opinion, most beautiful campus I have I ever seen

The Faculty of Agriculture, SKUAST-Kashmir (FoA SKUAST-K) offers a well-developed and modern infrastructure that supports both academic learning and research excellence. The campus is spacious, scenic, and well-maintained, providing an ideal environment for agricultural education. The classrooms are equipped with modern teaching aids such as projectors, smart boards, and sound systems, which make the learning process engaging and interactive. The laboratories are well-furnished and regularly upgraded with advanced instruments to facilitate practical experiments in soil science, plant pathology, genetics, agronomy, and other disciplines. The library is another strong asset of the college. It houses an extensive collection of textbooks, journals, research papers, and e-resources, providing students and researchers with easy access to valuable academic materials. The computer and internet facilities are reliable and support students’ academic and research needs. The experimental farms and greenhouses maintained by the faculty offer hands-on exposure to modern agricultural practices and technologies, helping students gain real-world experience. The hostels are clean and comfortable, with adequate facilities for both boys and girls. Additionally, the campus includes sports grounds, cafeterias, and transportation services, contributing to a balanced student life.
The academics at the Faculty of Agriculture, SKUAST-Kashmir (FoA SKUAST-K) are really well-structured and student-focused. Classes are conducted regularly, and attendance is taken seriously, which helps us stay consistent with our studies. The teachers are very dedicated and always available to help students, whether it’s during class hours or even after lectures. They explain concepts clearly and make sure everyone understands the topic before moving forward. One of the best things about the academics here is the focus on practical knowledge. Along with theory, we spend a good amount of time in laboratories, experimental farms, and field visits, where we get to apply what we learn in real situations. This hands-on experience makes studying agriculture much more interesting and useful.
When it comes to placements and career opportunities, the Faculty of Agriculture, SKUAST-Kashmir (FoA SKUAST-K) mainly focuses on preparing students for government and central-level exams rather than private sector jobs. Although placements in the private sector are quite rare, the college provides good guidance and motivation for students who want to appear in competitive exams like ICAR, UPSC, JRF, SRF, and various state-level agricultural officer exams. Teachers are very supportive and help us understand the exam patterns, important topics, and preparation strategies. They often share study materials and guide us on how to approach these exams effectively. The faculty also organizes seminars and guest lectures from experts, which give us exposure to different career paths in agriculture and allied fields.
For me personally, studying at the Faculty of Agriculture, SKUAST-Kashmir (FoA SKUAST-K) has been a great value for money experience. Coming from a background with limited resources, I really appreciate how much we get here at such an affordable cost. The fee structure is quite reasonable compared to many other agricultural universities, yet the facilities and quality of education are excellent. The college provides everything a student needs — good classrooms, well-equipped labs, a large library, hostel facilities, and access to experimental farms — all at a cost that is manageable for most students. The teachers are knowledgeable and supportive, and they give their best to ensure that every student learns and grows. The amount of practical exposure we get, along with the academic guidance, makes it totally worth the investment. What I like most is that even with limited financial resources, I never felt like I was missing out on opportunities. The university also organizes different training programs, workshops, and field visits without charging extra most of the time As if I consider my value for money it is beyond words because of my limited sources sometimes I have to wait for many days to months for money to pay for my mess bill
For me personally, campus life at the Faculty of Agriculture, SKUAST-Kashmir (FoA SKUAST-K) has been more than just academics — it has been a healing and uplifting experience. Before joining this college, I was going through a tough phase in life, feeling stressed and unsure about the future. But being on this campus changed things for me in a short span of time. The friendships I made here have been incredible. Late-night conversations with friends, shared laughter, and moments of support made me feel understood and less alone. Participating in sports and outings helped me relax, stay active, and regain confidence. The teachers here are not just educators but also mentors who care about our well-being; their guidance and friendly attitude made a huge difference in how I approached both studies and life.
This campus is heaven for me,this campus gave me the life which I could'nt imagine before ,the staff students, teachers became family Alhamdulillah for Everything
