MA Political Science at Shivaji University Offline Course

Master of Arts in Political Science is two years (4 Semester) full-time postgraduate program offered by Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

M. A. is a two year Post Graduate Course, with Semester & Choice Based Credit system & Continuous Internal Evaluation. The student has to earn 16 credits for two years. Every paper has four credits. In each Semester student has to opt two compulsory papers & two Elective papers.  Similarly, a student can opt for two interdisciplinary papers  (instead of elective papers) under the scheme of CBCS.

  Choice-based Credit System

Students doing M. A. can opt two interdisciplinary papers under the scheme of Choice-based Credit System (CBCS). They can select papers offered by Departments such as Sociology, Economics, History, Women’s Studies, Social Exclusion, etc, under the scheme of CBCS. Few Science departments also offer courses under CBCS. Similarly, students of other departments can also select Courses offered by Dept. of Political Science

As part of the curriculum study tour for  M. A. part II is organized to Delhi. In this tour, students study the functioning of Parliamentary institutions, other statutory bodies and visit the political leaders of different political parties.
