The college has got good infrastructure. The university has 4 blocks.Aruppe block seems a bit too congested. Other than that , other blocks seems fine. St Joseph's has a peaceful campus. The washrooms should be provided with soaps. The Pigeons in the magis block canteen is very annoying..I wish magis canteen had fans .
I'm studying microbiology, zoology and biochemistry. Some of the faculties in life science department doesn't know how to teach. The classes are very boring and students usually learn on their own the day before exams.
I don't know about the placements here. But I have heard from seniors that this college's quality of placement is not up to the point. The exposure is less compared to other colleges in Bangalore, Karnataka.
You get good infrastructure. And good faculties except for life science department. Life here is simple and not frustrating. You get to explore your talents along with studies. The college paves way for extra curricular activities and sports. It's worth your money. My course is microbiology, zoology and biochemistry. I had to pay 1.36 lakhs.
Campus life is fun. You get to experience a lot of events. Events hosted by students of different regions and cultures. You will get to explore your hidden talents. You will get a lot of opportunities in terms of studies , cultural activities and sports. You will have a stress free life here.
I wouldn't say it's bad but the university does lack a lot of basic necessities. There's no tissues or toilet paper in the washrooms, wifi doesn't work properly, the cafeteria sometimes isn't well maintained. There are a lot of pigeons in the cafeteria. I haven't had an issue with the food so far but I would be great if there was a concession of price for students.
It ultimately depends on the faculty. Some are great and some are not. It could be better, the curriculum. Not much materials is provided and even when students ask the mentors or the professors, a lot of professors act hostile.
I have no idea about this because I haven't been exposed to that now. But from what I've heard is that the placements are bad and not really up to mark and not much use of it and it definitely could be better.
My course is BBA SF and it was 2.40 L and with what I've experienced so far I don't think it's worth the money
The campus could be better but it's alright. It definitely has so much potential and I don't think it's been used to its full potential but it's not bad.
It's not bad but it's not great either.
It’s smaller than I expected but the over all campus is maintained in my opinion. There are 4 campuses and 2 canteens. The infrastructure of the new campus is pretty nice. Overall it’s alright architecture wise.
St Joseph’s is known for its academic and i think it does live upto what i’ve heard. The teachers do help and guide the students when asked for help. So far, i’m being pushed to do better in each subject.
I’m currently in 1st year doing BCOM International Finance and Accounting, so i do not have much idea about it right now. But i’ve generally heard that placements aren’t that good here at SJU and that very few companies with good packages come here
My course BCOMIFA is around 2lakhs per year. I feel like it’s pretty cheap compared to some colleges and offers the money’s worth. SJU has a good teaching faculty in my opinion and that is my primary focus. Everything else including the infrastructure and crowd is pretty nice.
Campus life entirely depends on how ready you are to come out of your comfort zone. Obviously like any college there are groupism and it will definitely take time to find people that have the same interests as you. I would say SJU has a very diverse crowd so you could find every type of people here.
The campus infrastructure is impressive with well equipped labs and reliables wifi across all academics blocks classroom are spaciousness, projector work perfectly, and liabrary has an excellent collection.
The teaching faculty in our department are genuinely passionate about their subject and it shows in every lecture.they go beyond the syllabus when time permits and encourage question freely.office hours are maintained consistently.
The placement cell is one of the most active and organised i have seen. Drive schedule are communicated weeks in advance , eligibility criteria are clear , and coordinate with companies is seamless .
St. Joseph’s University so far has the needed infrastructure for every student in the campus but it could be improved a bit more. The classroom uses Projector and the library has WiFi. They are well maintained . The building is a old building so it could be a little more modernized for students to adapt well and more facilities given to the students to enjoy learning.
I am studying Bba with strategic finance because the degree I am doing is integrated with CMA which is a qualification I need and aspire to be. The quality of the teaching is average where some teachers are lowest while some are really good. Curriculum so far is manageable but it could be a little easier tho.
The quality of placements in our college is not good. Compared to other students in other college, very less % of students get good placements. The average salary offered was 2,00,000 LPA to the students.
My course is around 2,40,000 lakhs per year. To be honest, I don’t think I’m getting my money’s worth here as the facilities we get are not up to the amount of fees we pay. There was no IV trip for the 1st years either. In my opinion, it could be better but still not bad.
The campus life is good in this university. There are also lot of fun activities and events happening in the university. Lots of cultural and art programs are there. Every student is given an opportunity to join each association and participate in those activities conducted by the association.
Overall I would say this University is a good university but it could be better in terms of the facilities provided. The curriculum provided in this university is average. Subjects are manageable as of now. Anyone wanting to get into this University must score atleast 60% in their board exams. So far the campus life is good and the students in the university can participate in a lot of activities. I recommend this college as it has a very distinct atmosphere.
the college infrastructure is pretty nice, the campus is big. Everything is prettu good really, i dont have much to say about that, and these are filler words to help me reach the 200 character limits. its done now.
The acadamics are a mix of things that are important and things that are stupid, some teachers rely purely on chatgpt, and some rely on their ppts. the studies vary from college grade assignments to middle school assignments. in truth the faculty could work on their teaching skills.
dont know crap about placement. if the mba students from harvard cant land a job i dont think this uni can help with placements. i hope they do, but im not do optimistic about it either. According to seniors, the college does for placements.
faculty could improve gng.
The infrastructure of the college is helpful faculty. Students generally find the experience productive and comfortable. There are several opportunities to learn and improve skills. While a few areas could still improve, overall the infrastructure supports student growth and development quite well.
The academics has some challenges that the college should address. At times it feels slow administration and students may not always get the best experience. With better planning and upgrades the academics could improve significantly in the future
My experience with the placements was mixed. Certain aspects work well, but others feel crowded at times. If the management focuses more on upgrades and organization, the overall quality of the placements could become much better.
The new academic block they inaugurated last year is genuinely impressive. High ceilings, large windows, great ventilation and modern furniture. It feels like a space where you actually want to spend time studying. The older blocks are being renovated too which shows the management is investing in upgrading the campus continuously.
The college has a mentorship system where each faculty member is assigned a group of students to guide throughout the year. My mentor has been genuinely helpful with academic issues, career advice, and even personal challenges. It's a system that works because the faculty here actually takes it seriously and follows through.
The placement cell organized a three month pre-placement training program and it was one of the best things this college did for us. Aptitude, reasoning, coding, and soft skills were all covered systematically. By the end of it I was confident walking into any interview. That structured training is something I'll always be grateful for.
The campus is beautiful ngl. Green spaces everywhere, clean corridors, and the auditorium is massive. The labs are stocked with all necessary tools and instruments. Just wish the cafeteria had more options. But compared to other colleges, the infrastructure is definitely top-notch.The faculty here is actually experienced, not just on paper. Most professors have industry background and it shows in how they teach. They relate everything to real world scenarios. Never felt like I was just mugging up for exams. Academics here are genuinely engaging and practical.
What I liked most is that professors encourage you to ask questions. No judgment, no ego. Classes are interactive and the assignments actually make you think. The academic calendar is well-planned with no sudden changes. Overall a strong academic culture here compared to other colleges I considered. The college arranged for seniors to mentor juniors before placements and that peer support made a huge difference. The actual drives were well-organized with proper scheduling. Got placed at a company I'm genuinely excited to join. Placement support here is real, not just something they advertise on the brochure.
Was a bit worried about placements when I joined but turns out the cell is very proactive. Regular seminars on resume building, interview prep sessions, and group discussions were conducted throughout the year. Landed a good package at a decent company. The effort the college puts into placements shows in the results.
The campus is spread across a large area and everything feels organized. Separate zones for academics, sports, and hostels. It doesn't feel chaotic even during college fests. The maintenance staff keeps everything clean and the administration is responsive when something needs to be fixed. Good management overall.
The college has good academic standards and the results reflect that. Most students perform well in university exams compared to other colleges in the same university. Faculty preparation is evident in every lecture. The college takes academics seriously without making it a stressful nightmare. That balance is hard to maintain and they do it well.
First time sitting for placements was nerve wracking but the college had prepared us enough that I felt confident walking into interviews. Coding tests, communication rounds, HR questions, everything was practiced beforehand. Cleared all three rounds in my first attempt and got a good offer. Training here really works.
