GATE CCMT 2024 Phase 1 Round 3 - admission fee payment and confirmation of seats is from July 6 to July 10.
The State University of Kashmir is called the University of Kashmir (KU), and it was founded in the year 1948. The UGC has authorised Kashmir University, and as of 2023, it is ranked 33 among the universities and 58 in overall NIRF rankings. KU received an "A+" grade from NAAC. More than 16,000 students are enrolled in the more than 70 programmes that the University of Kashmir provides.
Kashmir University offers courses in various fields such as Arts, Business and Management Studies, Education, Law, Applied Sciences and Technology, Biological Sciences, Physical and Material Sciences, Social Sciences, Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Oriental Learning and Music and Fine Arts. Students selected for Kashmir University admission to various courses/programmes in the university are eligible to receive two merit KU scholarships which are paid to the top two merit holders. The Kashmir University offers various programmes to eligible students from different levels of courses studying at the university.
The University of Kashmir offers courses at the diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. There are numerous specialisations available at Kashmir University. The admissions to some courses are done based on the relevant CMAT/ GPAT and GATE entrance examinations. The reserved category fills the remaining seats, leaving the open merit category to fill the remaining 67% of seats.

Kashmir University Scholarship
Many scholarships are offered by the University of Kashmir. Kashmir University scholarships include merit scholarships, research scholarships and student aid. Kashmir University merit scholarships are available to students who have taken admission in any of the courses. Two KU merit scholarships are available for the eligible students. University of Kashmir merit scholarships are given to the top two merit holders. One merit scholarship is offered based on merit in the entrance examination while the second merit scholarship is offered based on merit in the first and second-semester examination. Kashmir University scholarships also include research scholarships. Four scholarships are awarded from each department for carrying out research leading to the award of PhD/MPhil degrees. Student aid is also a scholarship awarded by University of Kashmir. KU student aid scheme is given to meritorious students who come from low income families. This University of Kashmir scholarship comes under the ‘Student Aid Scheme’.

the university campus is impressive. the classrooms are equipped with technologically advanced educational tools. the university has a main library and each department has its own library cum reading room.

The law faculty of the University of Kashmir is the best in the entire valley of Kashmir. It has a robust law society with an incredible staff. The environment is serene as well with magnificent university gardens and parks.

Excellent, the university has WiFi connectivity and overall infrastructure is nice. Some old buildings might need little bit of renovation, otherwise the university has up-to-date infrastructure and facilities.

Since Kashmir University is listed in the NTA CUET category, any admission, whether UG or PG, will be done based on the CUET score that you acquire in the entrance CUET PG exam.
If you see the syllabus for CUET PG English exam, it is somewhat similar to the UGC NET exam, only lesser in-depth, and it is not as vast as the latter one. I'll list some books that you can read/refer for the exam

Padmaja Ashok's Social History of England
Some help books from the exam's point of view- R Gupta and Pearson's CUET PG for English is also good, it will give you a concise knowledge of everything that is included in the syllabus

History of English Literature by E Albert

These are some of the topic-specific books. Apart from these, you can take books that cover the CUET PG English syllabus by Pearson, R. Gupta. I'd prefer these books because I've read them and they are really good.

Max Success Book by Chandresh Agrawal is an entrance exam book for the University of Kashmir's BA-LLB program. It covers the entire syllabus.
The question paper for the 2023 BA-LLB entrance test consists of 60 multiple choice questions, each worth one mark.
