GKVK is having one of the beautiful lush green campus spread over more than 1300 acres but coming to infrastructure recently constructed laboratories is having necessary equipment but is limited to research purpose. Old labs and old buildings need upgradation
As am an Agribusiness management student, our course curriculum is vast and covers almost covers everything but teaching is not upto the mark. Only few teachers are passionate about their work, teaching method is still traditional. Skills that are required in the current world are not being taught. If somone wants to go for farming after graduation, may be it's suitable for such students
Even though there is a placement cell, companies that offer placement are very less(single digit). There are more than 400 students who are doing their under graduation but only around 20 students get placed which is hardly 5 per cent and salaries offered are 20k - 30k per month.
Per year we have to pay around 50k excluding hostel fees during our time but every year it is getting increased. As the opportunities available in the campus are very less, I don't think it's worth the money.
GKVK is having the best campus, one can immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. For those who are interested in sports, they can have their best time. Those 4 years of life is worth remembering for a long time.
I recommend this college for those who are interested in farming.
College of agriculture, GKVK , is a college for farm science courses which is located in Bangalore. It is one of the best college campus in and around Bangalore with full of greenary, covered with lot of trees ,well designed class rooms , laboratory facilities, library, Smart boards, Wi-Fi facilities andprovide good environment of studies.
Academic in GKVK is outstanding, with updated syllabus, well trained faculty members, more of practical oriented programmes, recent advanced technologies and makes students well connected with rural farmers.
Placement in GKVK is not that much good enough, only a few students were placed at the end of the course and the companies that visit our college are very few in number, apart from B.Sc ( agri ) the students studying ABM and engineering were well placed.
Your investment in this college is valued , its is nearly about 2.5 lakhs for 4 years with government seat.
College life in GKVK is well deserved, The campus, environment are well featured.
It has a wonderful campus which comprises of beautiful, green and vast campus. It has high level laboratory facilities and good canteen facilities which are very good and there is need for maintenance to keep campus good
It comprises of various streams such as agriculture, ABM, Microbiology, sericulture, pathology and many others which offer vast knowledge regarding the agriculture allied sciences with great practical exposure.
It offers many placement opportunities in different companies such as itc, syngenta, mcf, etc and with good packages which help the students to get settled in life immediately after the graduation or degree.
It is one of the beautiful campus in Bangalore, filled with greenery and lot of trees. It has good infrastructure and facilities but there is lack of proper maintenance and care which hinders the quality of the campus.
It has many streams and departments such as agronomy, ABM, forestry, soil science, entomology, etc. But it lacks in teaching skills of the professors. There is a need of knowledgeable and skilled professors to the university.
It has a placement cell which also offers many placement opportunitie. But the problem is the companies associated ffor placement are not on par with the proffisionality of the degree offered by the university.
Excellent with infrastructure and Good environment, cool, and clam smart class, with a peace outstanding with college infrastructure with well versed equipment and Balanced theory and practical class and field work
Outstanding with knowledge and theory class and field visit with special character to know about the agricultural practical knowledge and maintain a record for the practical class and exposure visit to other campus
There is an placement cell in college where created a WhatsApp group in that there will be updated an message in regards to jobs where an we can choose the option fill the form to get to know about the jobs
Good
Good
Excellent
It has a great infrastructure and a beautiful, green campus to study in. Rather, there is lack of proper maintenance and care which should be taken care of. Yet it is a best place to study who wish to spend time with nature while studying.
I'm a BSc. Agri-Business Management student. The course and curriculum are good and are of vast knowledge, which covers all the aspects of agriculture and allied sciences and needs enhancement of skill in professors with respect to teaching
There are good amount of placement opportunities to work with, but the thing is it lacks in bringing the best companies for placement which is on par with the degree obtained from the university or college
There is all types of building, library, laboratory, and smart board, etc. But laboratory with no updated equipments, library with no latest or updated books, and projector doea not work properly in all the classrooms.
The subjects in the course is good with qualified professors but ot it lacks the practical teaching. There some things which are good that is RAWE in final year and All India Trip in third year, you will get exposure in these two programs only if you put your own efforts.
There is placement cell, but no proper training will be given, and average salary would around ₹10,000 to ₹25,000. Companies will not come more frequently, and there not more companies for the Agri business management students.
The only one day celebrated is campus day, no efforts for engaging the students in the college.
If you want to do farming or agriculture in the future you can join.
