The NITTE University, Mangalore was established in the year 2008. It was declared to be a “Deemed to be University” by the Ministry of Human Resource Development on June 4, 2008. NITTE University offers diploma, UG, PG and PhD in the disciplines of medicine, allied health sciences, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, speech and audiology, biological sciences, media and communication and architecture.  

NITTE University offers various courses that include MBBS, B.Sc, B.Tech, BDS, B.Arch, MD, B.Pharma, BCA, BBA, M.Ch, MS, MDS, M.Pharma and many other courses are offered. NITTE University Mangalore MBBS and BDS admissions are based on NEET UG scores. Candidates approaching for NITTE University B.Arch admissions are based on the scores obtained in the NATA entrance examination. The candidates have to register for the counselling process, once the results are announced. During the counselling registration, candidates have to select NITTE University Mangalore as their preferred college.
