Godavari Institute of Engineering & Technology (GIET) is a private college that was established in 1998. This is an autonomous institution accredited by the NBA and NAAC with an A+ grade. GIET Rajahmundry is approved by AICTE and it is permanently affiliated with JNTU Kakinada. GIET Rajahmundry offers courses at diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels.
GIET offers B.Tech courses in seven streams and M.Tech courses in eight streams. It also offers post-graduate courses in computer applications (MCA) and business administration (MBA). The admissions to the courses are done based on the JEE Main/ AP EAMCET/ APICET/ GATE/ AP PGECET scores. The candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria and meet the cutoffs set by the college can apply for admission.
The GIET Rajahmundry has a placement cell that coordinates with HR departments of various Corporates/MNCs and organises recruitment at the college campus. Facilities and infrastructure are good here. Classrooms are clean and neat, and some classrooms have projectors. The library has all kinds of books regarding engineering. I don't know much about hostels because I am not a non-local student. In sports, I played a cricket tournament, and it was conducted by our management.
