Classrooms are generally spacious and the necessary seating arrangements are functional for the large student intake the college have. For the Journalism course, the specialized media laboratory equipment feels minimal and is often noticeably outdated in its technological capabilities. Internet service across the college premises is quite inconsistent and extremely unreliable for urgent project deadlines or research work. The basic maintenance of the washroom facilities and the common student areas really requires more focused and consistent attention from the administration.
The faculty members within the Journalism and Mass Communication department are unquestionably the greatest strength the college possesses. Almost all the professors bring substantial and relevant industry experience into every lecture discussion they conduct in class. The course curriculum is structured quite well, effectively balancing theoretical foundations with practical skill development opportunities for students. Teachers are genuinely approachable here. Assignments and internal assessments are rigorously designed to test a student's critical thinking and conceptual application abilities. I feel I am receiving a good, recognized university education here, which is the main objective.
The job placement prospects for the Journalism course are currently still in a relatively nascent stage of development. The dedicated placement cell does actively try to coordinate, but visibility specifically for our course is unfortunately quite low among major media companies. Only a small handful of very local or relatively new public relations firms have visited the campus for recruitment drives.
Considering the exceptionally affordable tuition fees charged, the educational value provided by this institution is simply outstanding for me. I feel the entire financial commitment required for pursuing the complete four-year Honors degree is incredibly light and highly accessible. The mere access to the highly qualified and genuinely dedicated faculty members fully justifies the modest financial investment required entirely on its own merit.
Several highly active student-run societies organize frequent cultural festivals, engaging workshops, and relevant academic seminars throughout the entire academic session. The annual college fest is a particularly massive event, celebrated with widespread enthusiasm and full participation from the entire student community. It is a highly supportive, socially engaging and a perfectly safe place.
