State Government of Uttar Pradesh and the affiliated university govern the admissions process. Generally, admission shall be conducted one month before the commencement of the academic year, so candidates are expected to keep themselves updated about the exact dates by visiting the official college website or the admission office.
Eligibility criteria depend on each individual program. For undergraduate courses, candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam through a board or college which is recognized. For postgraduate courses, a relevant bachelor’s degree is required. There may be some requirements for percentage criteria.
Admission is considered primarily on merit, determined by marks in the qualifying examination. Scores from state government-conducted entrance examinations may be considered for the admission of some courses such as B.Ed and D.El.Ed.

Admission Notification: Admission to the courses is declared on the official college website and through local newspapers.
Application Form: The forms are available in either online mode, from the website, or offline, directly from the college admission office.
The following is a detailed required mandatory document list:
Mark sheets and pass certificates (10th, 12th, or graduation as applicable)
Character certificate
Transfer and migration certificates (if applicable)
Caste certificate (if claiming reservation)
Passport-sized photographs
Application Fee: The fee should be paid according to the guidelines set forth in the admission notification.
Merit List: Merit lists of the applicants are formulated in accordance with academic scores and/or performance in the entrance test.
Publication: These will be displayed for the information of the applicants on the notice boards of the college and/or the college website.
Document Verification: The candidates will submit all original documents for verification.
Fee Payment: Following verification, the student will pay the admission fees within the stipulated time.
Confirmation: Admission is confirmed upon the payment of fees, and the student receives an ID/admission letter.
Degree-wise Admission Process
B.A.: Admission is based on a merit list prepared from marks obtained in the 10+2 examination. Candidates are required to complete higher secondary with relevant subjects.
B.Ed.: Fifty students are accepted for admission. Admission is based on merit depending on the marks from the qualifying exam and/or entrance exam, subjected to state government and university norms. A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required.
D.El.Ed.: Fifty students are accepted for admission. The criteria for admission are similar to those for B.Ed. admissions. Admission to D.El.Ed. follows merit as given by qualifying exam and/or entrance test scores as per government rules.
M.A. Home Science: Admission is merit based on the bachelor degree performance in a relevant field.
M.A. Sociology: Admission is based on the academic performance of candidates in their undergraduate studies, giving priority to sociology and related fields.
