VIT has an amazing infrastructure and ample amount of opportunities for every aspects of career. Unlike what people expect, it's cost is pretty cheap in the first two fee categories. The hostel and mess are amazing and regularly well maintained. All the teaching faculty have a PhD in their field of teaching which ensures you learn from people who have in depth knowledge of what they are teaching. There are a lot of sports and recreational facilities both inside and outside the college. The only two suggestions I have are to firstly allow students to take leave more easily, preferably on their own because college students are expected to be mature adults. Secondly to allow students to keep a vehicle in a paid parking for off campus traversal. Definitely, the place you want to be if you're a CSE student with the challenging, executing and updated curriculum.

VIT includes students from the entire country and even abroad. The diverse pool of students along with the ample opportunities give a lot of peer based leaening incentives to us students. The FFCS system allows us to choose our own courses and timings and faculty. It really is very flexible. The placement are really good, especially for software related branches. Companies offer saries fro. 3-30 lpa. The fests are also pretty decent.

It is a college which you can dream of in the years to come. One of the best colleges in the country. The faculty and the students both of them are experienced and helpful. The college fest is 3rd biggest in the entire nation. Moreover the hostel life is fun with few restrictions. The wide cultural diversity adds flavor to the four year stay at VIT. The college has nearly 100 clubs that conducts events on regular intervals. Its fun and a learning experience to be a part of VIT.

A place to learn, A chance to grow

I came to Vellore around two years ago from Delhi. It was to be my first experience away from home. Now, being a Delhiite, I always wanted the limelight and came with an impression and attitude like that which was shattered on the first day itself seeing all the boys around, so much competitive, so much better in every aspect of life. It was soon when the kid was wondering about the new world that was opened to him. Gotta admire the infrastructure here. Everything is so well planned. When me and my parents came for counselling, we were left in awe of the campus, so huge yet beautiful. As the days past by, it became horrendous walking in miles everyday with sun beating down on you to melt your bones away and then we ask ourselves, why is it so huge! Days past by, acquaintances became friends, friends became family and thats how the journey started. VIT doesn't have a closure that you are confined to learn in things related to your branch only. It's much more than that. There are numerous number of chapters and clubs that help one develop technically and personality wise both. One has to be a part of something or the other and that's what makes us different from other college students. Smart work with a hint of hard work is much appreciated over here. You get to put your leg in everything like public speaking, anchoring, hosting events, managing things, taking workshops, making projects, etc. That's what drives one's fear away. The rules are pretty strict over here and everything carries a fine. Well that's appreciated since, the managements' gotta handle around 20000 odd students over here. There is no shortage of faculties here too. The range goes from highly experienced to teachers still doing their project work. The sports faculties are pretty much better than other colleges if we compare. We have the best team in Basketball, Volleyball, Throwball and Badminton. The main point regarding the curriculum is VIT uses a method of FFCS (Fully Flexible Credit System). You get to chose your own subjects irrespective of your branch. It is a boon for the ones who wish to do something more and a bane for most since, people from other branches take the core subjects filling in the left seats. All in all, it's a huge and ever learning experience to be a part of, meeting people from every state of the country. One feels independent and the forces makes him/her thrive for more. -Sagar Goel A proud VITian

College life is good, facultoes are good but there will be some problem in starting in communication, infrastructure is amazing, well maintained. Placement record is good. Many companies visit the campus in the final year of the term. With every passing year record is improving. Overall college experience is nice.
