The highest salary package offered recently was around 44 LPA, which went to a student in the Computer Science Engineering (CSE) branch, while the average salary package usually ranges from 5 LPA to 6 LPA. The entire placement process is very organized, easy, and pleasant. Furthermore, the college placement cell is incredibly supportive, providing excellent pre-placement training and mock interviews to ensure we are fully prepared.

However, because of the massive student crowd, the competition during placement drives is intense, meaning you must proactively develop your technical skills from the early semesters to stand out.

The quality of placements at SRMIST is highly commendable, particularly for the engineering branches. Around 85% to 90% of students from our batch secured placements. The highest salary package reached around 60 LPA, which was offered to a student from the B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department. The average salary package offered stands around 7.5 LPA to 8 LPA. The overall placement process was well-organized and smooth, though highly competitive due to the large batch size. The college placement cell was extremely supportive, conducting numerous mock interviews, aptitude training sessions, and coding bootcamps to help us prepare effectively for top MNCs like Amazon, TCS, and Cognizant.My course costs roughly ₹3.5 Lakhs per year excluding hostel charges. The value for money is average. While you get access to world-class labs, massive libraries, and great tech fests, the sheer number of students increases the competition for top placements. It is worth the money if you land a dream package, but for an average package, the high fees make the return on investment take longer to recover.

Though , our college has all the necessary infrastructure but yet it needs improvements in several dimensions. Like the washrooms are not that clear. The moment we open the door of washroom ,that fowl smell hits hard to the brain . If we talk about the classrooms ..so there is the need of some more fans, and even the glasses are broken. And canteen also needs several improvement.The food quality in the canteen is very basic and lacks hygiene standards. Furthermore, resources like the library and computer labs are outdated, and the Wi-Fi connectivity across the campus is highly unstable. The overall maintenance of the living spaces and common areas is severely neglected, making it uncomfortable for students to spend long hours on campus.

Mine experience with vivekananda college is a Lil bit good . Everything is quite nice there, the environment, surrounding, teachers. I am studying history' honours though I don't understand anything there.. teachers don't even specify the books from which they are teaching. Nothing is making me job ready. Teachers just come in the classroom, sit, reads the book , and goes out. No matter if we have understand anything or not..The curriculum feels completely outdated and does not include any recent developments or practical applications in the field of history. Because the teaching method is purely restricted to reading out text without any discussions or assignments, it completely kills student interest. The college provides no corporate exposure, skill-building workshops, or seminars to help us prepare for future career opportunities.

The placement scenario at this college is highly disappointing and a major concern for all students. Year after year, the placement cell fails to invite any reputed or tier-one companies to the campus for recruitment drives. The few local companies that do visit offer exceptionally low salary packages that do not align with industry standards or the effort students put into their degrees. A vast majority of the batch is left unplaced, forcing students to aggressively search for off-campus job opportunities on their own without any institutional backing. Furthermore, the college offers no training sessions, mock interviews, or resume-building workshops to make students corporate-ready. The overall management and placement cell are completely unsupportive, leaving students feeling abandoned regarding their future careers and professional growth.

College life here is really boring and strict. The campus is a mess, the bathrooms are dirty, and the classrooms don't even have basic modern equipment. There is absolutely nothing to do outside of class—no festivals, tech events, or sports. It’s hard to make friends because there are no clubs or student groups. To make it worse, the professors aren't helpful at all. They just want us to memorize everything instead of teaching us how things actually work. If you have a problem, the college office completely ignores you. The only good thing is that the area around the campus is safe and easy to get to, but being inside the college just feels depressing."

"Overall, I would strongly advise incoming students to look for other options before considering this college. The total lack of proper management, unresponsive administration, and practically non-existent placement support make it a very frustrating place to spend your college years.
