The college has good infrastructure provide decent environment for students.Few facilities should be upgraded like for bsc students their is another building which includes washrooms while another building is for ba and bcom students so it finds difficult sometimes.

Regular assessment and regular classes provide to maintain a good learning environment. Some teaching method could be more interactive and should be upgraded and teachers should explain some topics with more interesting ways.

Placement opportunities at the college are quite limited. Only a small number of opportunities are available for students and these were not so diverse according to the courses. Students often look for off-campus placement to find better career opportunities

I'm studying Bcom(hons) and I've taken classes conducted at du sol centre. The quality is average, easy to understand and store. The curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field.

In BCOM(hons) the : Placement Rate: 50%–80%Highest Package: Reaches up to ₹4–6 LPA (average ₹3–4 LPA) The highest reported package is up to ₹30 LPA, it was in MBA. Du sol students do get placements but opportunities are limited in comparison to regular du college

The campus is big and well furnishes. There's no such activities for students to engage in other than classes not that I've personally knowledge about any activities can't say anything. But the campus is good it's still a good experience. The teachers are good. The location is safe and with security It can very well handle emergencies

The campus has full Wi-Fi connectivity. The classes are sufficient to accommodate 2 batches. Each batch has 30 students. A smaller batch size helps ensure each student receives attention from the faculty. Labs for all subjects are also available. There is a large, air-conditioned library with all the books one needs. There is also support for a digital library, which can be accessed via the portal. The campus hostel offers both AC and non-AC rooms. The mess also offers a variety of food, and vending machines are available throughout the campus.
Academics
The faculty is well-educated and knowledgeable in the subjects they teach. The teaching quality is really good, and they are also comfortable changing their teaching style if that is what is wanted by the majority of students. As the batch size is small, the faculty can give enough attention to each student. There are enough assignments, tests, and assessments to keep the learning of students on track. The curriculum is well designed and organised in such a way that it not only helps the students theoretically but also practically. We also have subjects that help us manage our lives effectively.
Placements
The highest package was of 52LPA this year from cybersecurity, and the placement percentage is also really good,d with an average package of around 13LP A. There are many well-known companies that come to the college for placements. There are also soft skills taught in college that are valuable during placements and in the corporate industry
Campus Life
The college has fun activities all year round. Be it sports, cultural events,s or any other extracurricular activities. There are innumerable clubs in the college that also organise events all year round. There are hackathons, bug bounties, and many other technical events that are also organised. The campus has a breathtaking view and clean air, so studying is often focused and undistracted.

Great and Well Built Infrastructure , Great Library and Activity Space for studying. Projectors in class rooms with clear screening. Hygienic mess and Hostel Facilities. Well built infrastructure and the college is still expanding, refurbishing old departments and making new ones as well.

Tough to Moderate level of examinations. Currently pursuing BE in Computer Engineering. Updated curriculum for most branches - for eg. Engineering Drawing taught on AutoCAD which is better than paper drawings being taught in other colleges. Approachable faculty with good level of teaching.

Even with lots of lay offs, good placement record to to vast alumni support. Excellent startup culture in college with a whole building - VentureLabs for entrepreneurship and related fields. Students can also get funding if they do well enough.

Infrastructure is top notch and even better than some of top govt colleges in North India. Hostels are all quite spacious and food quality is ensured to be of a good standard. I have just wrapped up with COE 1st year and Thapar has a policy of teaching same subjects to all the students irrespective of their branch. Thus in 1st year a variety of subjects of different fields are taught rather than branch specific subjects. Approximately 450 companies visit campus for full time placements or internships every placement season. Placement cell is very supportive and helpful. Students with decent cgpa and adequate skills ensure a great placement in top companies. Avg package offered by companies is about 13-14 lpa.

The infrastructure is one of the weakest aspects of the college. Classrooms are in poor condition, with no air conditioning or coolers—only fans. During summers, attending lectures can become quite uncomfortable. Power and lighting issues are also common. Considering that this is a Central University and a government institution, students naturally expect much better facilities and maintenance.

The academics are average at best. The syllabus feels outdated and lacks practical exposure. For BBA students, only a General BBA program is offered, with very little focus on industry-oriented skills, live projects, internships, case studies, certifications, or practical business knowledge. In today's job market, practical skills matter as much as theoretical knowledge, but that aspect is largely neglected here. Students coming from reputed schools such as CMS, DPS, GD Goenka, La Martiniere, and similar institutions may find the academic environment below their expectations. The college should seriously focus on updating the curriculum and incorporating skill-based learning.

It appears largely inactive, and students expecting strong placement opportunities, industry connections, career guidance, or regular recruitment drives may be disappointed. I personally found it difficult to build a strong friend circle and connect with like-minded students. The campus atmosphere does not always feel very motivating or growth-oriented. This college may be suitable for students who simply want to obtain a degree from a Central University. However, students looking for excellent infrastructure, strong placements, practical learning, skill development, and an active campus life may find the experience below expectations.
