When I studied at Techno Main, Salt Lake, the infrastructures provided were impressive. The electrical engineering labs had all the essential apparatus and the classrooms had a modern setup that made learning comfortable. The library was a quiet refuge where I spent hours researching and preparing for exams.
Academics
My academic journey was rewarding. I especially appreciated those teachers who took the time to connect classrooms with real-world engineering problems. Although a few subjects felt outdated, the overall curriculum strengthened my technical base.
Placements
Placements during my batch was average. Most of the big recruiters were the companies of Information Technology, so many students, including myself, had to look beyond the campus for core-related opportunities.
Campus Life
My campus life at Techno Main was truly memorable. I still remember the excitement around college fests, group projects and long afternoons in the canteen with friends. I was part of a few student clubs which helped me explore leadership and teamwork.

The infrastructure is pretty decent. We have well maintained classrooms. There are dedicated labs for each department. The library has a lot of books. WiFi is something which is not that good, as the network is not good everywhere. Girls' hostel's rooms are not well maintained, they need repair.
Academics
Almost all the faculty is good, with a few exceptions of course (as talking about the mechanical engineering department). The curriculum is updated but for placements I think we need to study extra too.
Placements
This college is famous for its 100 percent placement, especially for core branches i.e metallurgy and materials engineering and mechanical engineering. The highest package offered was around 14 LPA. The average salary remains around 7 LPA.

The college building is very well-maintained but I cannot give the infrastructure more than three stars because of certain departmental limitations. I have noticed that some of the cameras and editing software we are taught on are not always state-of-the-art and I am often forced to rely on my own equipment to complete high-quality practical assignments. Other than that, the classrooms are spacious and has air- conditioners and the bathrooms, corridors and canteen are kept neat and clean.
Academics
My academic journey, especially in the core subjects, has been great, leading me to give five stars. I find the professors in the Journalism and Mass Communication department exceptionally insightful, always encouraging us towards in-depth research and critical analysis.
Placements
My personal experience and observations lead me to give placements a low rating of two stars, specially for the arts stream. I am actively searching for a full-time role in editorial content or public relations, and I have found the core placements offered to me in my field to be extremely few and often offering packages I consider low for a graduate from a reputable Kolkata college.
Campus Life
The campus life gets three stars from me because, while I enjoy the cultural events, I often find the overall experience quite restrictive. I am a third year student now, and I wish I had more freedom to organize impromptu department events without excessive administrative hurdles.

There are plenty laboratories assigned for each course and the most amazing thing about this university is that each floor has a different department in a single building, so most of the times the students do not have to rush for other classes, there is just one con in the infrastructure and that is, the computer lab is really far away from all the other academic buildings

Students have regular classes and all the professors are really sweet and supportive. They do not just want the students to grow in their courses but beyond that. There are also few mentor-menti sessions

The placement of the university considering the amount they are charging for each course is just average as compared to it's own branch nearby which is an affiliated college. Students get the chance to do internship under the university but there are never sufficient for efficient internship

I am very pleased with the infrastructure of this college. The classrooms are clean, well-lit and equipped with smart boards. The media lab and studio facilities for Journalism and Mass Communication are quite good and provide a professional feel during practical sessions. The library is my favourite part of the college.

The faculty members of the Journalism and Mass Communication department teaches us both theory and practical aspects of journalism with great enthusiasm. We often have workshops, seminars and guest lectures that expose us to the actual real-world media situation.

The placement cell offers training sessions, interview tips and support throughout which is helpful but the placement opportunity for the Journalism and Mass Communication students are very less and needs serious improvement.

Campus life here is full of energy and creativity. Various types of fests, events and workshops keep the environment lively. I have not only made good friends but also learned teamwork and built confidence.There are also a lot of indoor games like carrom, chess and table tennis in the college.

There's Wi-Fi available throughout, classes are neat and clean, lab facilities are provided for the students and there is a separate laboratory for every branch. There's also a canteen available with good-quality food is provided for the students.

The faculty in our college are very well educated and very helpful for students. The teaching quality is very good, which helps the students be industry-ready. The semester exams are held twice a year and the invigilation is very good in terms of strictness and the pass percentage is very high. And yes, there's no chance of cheating in exams.

Almost all the students, 50–80%, are placed at our college by popular companies like TCS, IBM, Wipro, Infosys, Amazon and many others. The average salary package offered is around 3.5–4 LPA and the highest package received so far is between 15-12 LPA.

They teach in multiple languages like Bengali, Hindi and English. But the main drawback of our college is that they didn't include all the recent developments. They focus mainly in the theory.

Tripura Institute of Technology has no placement. We need to search placement off campus only. But recently there is a placement for mechanical engineering but with low package. Our college was supportive but only if we search outside our college placement and ask help from faculty but they never introduced to us any placement themselves.

Placements for arts students, especially in Political Science are quite limited. Unlike technical departments, there are not many direct job opportunities. Most of the students prepare for higher studies or government exams.

I am having a vibrant campus life. There is always something happening like fests, debates and cultural events that bring everyone together. The atmosphere is energetic and I have met a lot of diverse and open-minded people.
