North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology is a science and technology institute that was established in 1984. Facilities are given priority for student’s development and to provide a well-established learning environment and experience to them. NERIST Nirjuli offers an auditorium, library, hostel, ET cell, medical facilities, and much to its staff and students. It provides internet connection in the campus for students and staff use, and over-all, the institute offers all the required facilities that are needed in an engineering institute. Hostels: A separate hostel is provided to boys and girls, where 8 hostels are reserved for boys and 2 for girls. The hostels are equipped with mess facilities, internet connection, and even a recreational area is provided. All the basic amenities like water, table, chair, bed are also provided to make students stay comfortable.

NERIST Nirjuli Placements
North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, Nirjuli has a training and placement cell to organise the placement procedure for the students. Students are also provided training programmes on personality development and communication skills and help them prepare better for the recruitment process. - Invitation- North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology co-ordinates with the recruitment companies and sends an annexure to those companies and the recruiters in return need to fill all necessary information in the annexure. The Training and Placement Cell then fix their dates with various recruiters based on the salary packages and other eligibility criteria offered by the recruitment companies.
- Registration- Students need to register themselves with the T&P cell for the placement drive along with all required documents and students satisfying all eligibility criteria will be asked to proceed further for the recruitment process.

College Infrastructure
Having the fact that its a 36 year old college, some buildings in the campus needs to be renovated. But the new buildings has all the essential facilities. In the new academic block, the classrooms are well equipped. The Central Library has all our books which is needed for the entire sem. Some of the laboratories need renovations and upgrade the equipments used. Gym, Football ground, Busketball and Badminton Courts, indoor stadium are provided to us. The living spaces, food hygienic are fine.

Yes, the college have provided us with good facilities as well as equipments but the quality of maintenance is not good. Periodic maintenance is necessary but sometimes it does not work as per our expectations. However, the quality of teaching is good , students ar very active and cooperation of faculties and students are really appreciable. Library is well maintained and wifi facilities are good. Moreover the quality of food is good as compared to my previous hostel life.
Overall, it is going good so far.

Do hostels in Nerist have 24-hour Wifi facilities?
NERIST that means North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology Cona,Andhra pradesh.had big campus with 10hostels .8 for boys and 2for girls.One each for PG hostels .Every hostel has its regular fecility and have a good enviornment for study and education.Yhe wifi fecility is available for 6pm to 6AM only. which one would be better choice- North eastern hills University (NEHU) IT or NERIST CSE??
Hi, it is recommended that you first choose your branch. Looking at the pattern and future opportunities in both the branches there is minimal difference between them. IT is all software based and CSE is Software, Hardware and OS core based. Coming to colleges. NEHU has larger space and better infrastructure. Also NIRF ranking is around 82. So, NEHU is better. You can compare your colleges as well as the branches on the link given below. Hope this helps.
