April 19, 2024 has been declared as a holiday on account of elections to Lok Sabha and the State Legislative Assembly.
NERIST has released the revised schedule for the NERIST Entrance Examination 2024. NEE II and III are to be held on May 12, 2024 and NEE I is scheduled to be held on May 11, 2024 from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM.

North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology was founded in 1984. Situated in Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh, NERIST is a deemed-to-be university that is autonomous, fully sponsored, and managed by the Government of India's Ministry of Education (formerly MHRD). The NERIST Arunachal Pradesh offers four levels of programmes that include undergraduate, diploma, postgraduate, and doctoral. The NERIST Nirjuli courses include B.Tech, B.Sc,M.Sc, M.Tech., MBA, Diploma, and Ph.D The candidates should meet the NERIST Nirjuli eligibility criteria for the desired course.

Before applying for the NERIST admissions, the candidate should appear for the relevant entrance examination such as NEE /MAT/GATE/PET/CAT. The NERIST admissions will be based on the entrance examination scores. The institute also offers various infrastructural facilities on campus. The NERIST Nirjuli facilities provide separate accommodation, a library, an auditorium, a medical/hospital, and many other facilities. The NERIST Nirjuli placement cell handles all the final placement activities of the students. The institute offers scholarships for students.

NERIST Nirjuli Scholarship

Various NERIST Nirjuli scholarships are made available to the students through support from the government. Students are highly encouraged to apply for various state and central government scholarships for receiving financial support while they are pursuing their desired course study. North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology Nirjuli scholarships may not be applicable to all and many students may not be eligible to apply for it since certain scholarships are provided only to backward categories, while some are given based on merit to outstanding performers. Students meeting the eligibility criteria are assisted to apply for NERIST scholarships.

The list of some of the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology scholarships that the students can apply for are given below.

1. Merit-cum-means scholarships provided by the state and central government.

2. Post-Matric Scholarship schemes for SC/ST and other minorities, by Ministry of Minority Affairs.

3. National Fellowship and scholarship for Higher Education of ST students, from Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

4. Top Class Education Scheme for SC students, by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

Infrastructure is good I personally don’t have any complaints however it’s obviously not good compared to many premium institutes of the country but not very bad so you won’t really have much complaints

My college is one of the earliest institute to have a library. The college library is one of our most significant asset, which has an online cataloguing system that provide access to library resource. Our library has an impressive collection of books and journal going back to 18th centuary. Do hostels in Nerist have 24-hour Wifi facilities?

NERIST that means North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology Cona,Andhra pradesh.had big campus with 10hostels .8 for boys and 2for girls.One each for PG hostels .Every hostel has its regular fecility and have a good enviornment for study and education.Yhe wifi fecility is available for 6pm to 6AM only. which one would be better choice- North eastern hills University (NEHU) IT or NERIST CSE??

Hi, it is recommended that you first choose your branch. Looking at the pattern and future opportunities in both the branches there is minimal difference between them. IT is all software based and CSE is Software, Hardware and OS core based. Coming to colleges. NEHU has larger space and better infrastructure. Also NIRF ranking is around 82. So, NEHU is better. You can compare your colleges as well as the branches on the link given below. Hope this helps.
