The classes are well structured with spacious and big classrooms and have proper ventilation, it has lifts planted which makes easy access to classrooms the library is big and has the best collection of books.
Academics
Academics are really good the professors follow the curriculum and make the study understanding for the students they are really supportive and have years of experience specially the commerce department professor.
Placements
Placement is okay many of the students when graduated various companies like paytm etc visit and hire the students on campus. For being hired student must have a good cgpa and also good skills on any domain

The Infrastructure of the college is good. The new building for the second year onwards is good. The basic science block for the first year is not that good. During the summer, it gets hot, with only a few fans working properly. The washrooms in the basic science department are pathetic. The library is the best part of the entire college. It is very large, occupying three floors and equipped with every major book.
Academics
Faculty members are not that good for the first years. I mean, only very few faculty members are highly knowledgeable and teach properly. The rest of the faculty members (almost 80%) do not teach properly. Some rush, some do time-pass. Some treat us as if we are IIT graduates. Most importantly, they are not that good in English (Some faculty members).
Placements
Placements in my branch started this year, as it was a new branch introduced in 2025. The average package offered is 3 to 4 LPA. 30 to 40% of the students get placed. The highest was 6 to 7 LPA. Mostly, Mass recruiters come here. No Amazon, Oracle, or AI center companies hire from here. Wipro, Infosys, etc., are the companies that recruit from here.

I'm not in the hostel, but some of my friends are in the hostel. They will tell you the food is good and the hostel is also clean. They will take care of us, and in any health issues, they will only take care of those things. It's good.

Teachers are very good. They are friendly. If we have any doubts, we clarify them immediately. If we are in a class and we have a doubt, we can text them, and they will teach us at any time. I’m happy to have such teachers, and the exams were good, but it was too strict during exam time.
Placements
The course was good, and the placements are also good. For my course, I hope that I will get a nice placement in my college only. It is good, and the teaching is also good. I'm grateful to join this college; I’m even referring my cousin to join this college. I'm happy to share these things.

We have a very good infrastructure and facilities, all the things required for the curriculum are available, and when we speak of labs, it has high-end systems required for the course. The library has all the books required for the curriculum and also many other books. College mess and canteens provide a decent taste, as they are hygienic.

All the faculty members are highly qualified, and they teach in a very understanding manner by giving real-time examples. This course gives you the good fundamentals to be industry-ready. You have to pick a field and master it. I give you the basics of all the fields. If you cover the syllabus and are well prepared, then exams are quite easy.
Placements
Around 50%-60% of students have been placed, some of the top recruiters are Cognizant, TCS, Capgemini, Juspay, etc. Most of the students who have been placed have got internships from their respective companies like Cognizant, Mathco, Sasken, etc. Various roles were offered based on the candidate's capabilities.

The campus has 4 blocks and the block structure is combined together in 22.5 acres. In every classroom, the sitting capacity is 70 members and it is fully equipped with smart boards. We have one library but it is average. We have labs with well-equipped instruments, seminar halls, a canteen, a sports room, a medical room, and a transportation facility.

In this course, faculty members are well-qualified and they all hold doctorates and PhD degrees. They teach us on both blackboards and smart class boards. They solve any problem very easily. Every week, they give PPT assignments and the student-teacher ratio is 5:4. My experience is good with the faculty members and the institute. The way they communicate with us in a good manner.
Placements
The highest package is 14 LPA and the minimum package is 5 LPA. Each student should have a minimum of 70% to get placed in a top MNC. We need to learn new skills to get placements. Companies like Unschool, Tutoria, Nexnova, Infosys, TCS, etc., recruit students.

The infrastructure is just okay, I would say a three out of five. The campus feels way too small and sort of basic for a big technology institute in Salt Lake. We do have adequate, air-conditioned classrooms and clean laboratories, which is a plus. But seriously, the public wireless fidelity is consistently unreliable outside the laboratories, and that is a major headache for my project work.

The academics are genuinely strong, so I am giving them a solid four stars. The Bachelor of Computer Applications curriculum is super relevant, and the technical training is top-notch, which is what matters most. Most professors are really knowledgeable and students can always approach them for help. My main complaint is that the seventy five percent mandatory attendance rule feels excessively strict and honestly, a bit infantilizing.

Placement is absolutely the best thing about this college.They practically guarantee an excellent job offer, which is why most of us are here in the first place. We see major technology and consulting companies visiting all the time.

Campus Life is the low point, because it feels so incredibly restrictive and joyless. We have mandatory uniforms and really strict entry and exit timings, making it feel less like a university and more like I am back in school.

In our college, there are great facilities for the library. There is neat maintenance of classrooms, a high security of labs and computers for all students. The hostel has many facilities like quality price, curries, and washing machines.

Teachers are more helpful in improving students' knowledge and ideas in project work. Their quality of teaching is good. It makes students industry-ready for business purposes. Semester exams are not easy, not very hard but based on our performance. If we read the subject, they are easy. Other: I chose this course for the purpose of software development. I think more knowledge and talent should be improved to get jobs in the placements of companies for better packages.

Dr.BC Roy Engineering College as seen so far by me has one the best infrastructure, facilites and equipment. Starting from internet facilities to teachers' support everything is just up to the mark. Classrooms have neat and clean desks and benches, blackboards and every other essential thing. Laboratories have best equipments and all other best educational related things as well as the Lab Assistants and teachers. Libraries are also very useful as they contain every other books the students need and the students don't need to buy books from outside and they are undoubtedly well-maintained. The living spaces and food canteens are also very hygienic.

I'm currently studying in Btech First year in Electrical engineering and according to me this college has the best faculties in this branch in the whole Asansol-Durgapur division. The quality of teaching is really very good and the teachers are undoubtedly very talented. They guide us in the best way possible. The recent study-curriculum is updated according to the latest as being in Electrical Engineering line we can also study about computer and animation in the upcoming semesters as said by our HOD.

According to me, placements are basically upon the students that is how they score and how they perform. College is just a backbone to the student's placement which according to me this college does in a great manner. In my stream,more than 90% placements have been recorded and the highest salary is 6lakhs per annum as heard.

Faculty members in our college are not highly skilled, there try to focus only on academics instead of providing technical skills to the students. They teach in a rush while the exams are nearing. The course curriculum is relevant but does not give practical knowledge. Semester exams are not so difficult we can pass with one day preparation also. The pass percentage is nearly 60%.
Placements
I am an artificial intelligence and machine learning branch student who is going to pass out in 2026. The placement percentage in 2025 is nearly 30% which is completely devastating. The highest package offered is 20 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. I don't just blame the college or faculty members but there are also student's mistakes who do not concentrate on gaining skills. Least internship offers are provided to us through college. Top roles are not offered to even highly skilled students.
