Eligibility Criteria

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

Admission Details

The Government of Karnataka conducts Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission into various professional courses for students of Karnataka. The CET is generally conducted during April / May and the notification will appear in all leading newspapers. RNSIT is in the list of top most engineering colleges in Karnataka.
A merit list will be prepared based on the combined performance in PUC/XII Std. and CET.
Seat matrix is announced indicating seats available in different colleges in different branches based on the sanctioned intake.
Admissions are made according to merit, subject to reservations to various categories.
Students called for documents verification on a particular day and the same will be announced on CET Website.

The campus is spacious, clean, and systematically planned, creating a disciplined and professional learning environment for students. Academic blocks are well-constructed with proper ventilation, lighting, and seating arrangements, which makes classrooms comfortable for long lecture hours.

College Infrastructure

RNS Institute of Technology has a spacious, well-maintained campus with modern classrooms, Wi-Fi, equipped labs and a good central library supporting academics. The infrastructure includes sports facilities, seminar halls, hostel accommodation and basic amenities like canteen and banking services, though some students feel hostels and certain facilities could improve further. Overall, the campus environment is student-friendly and conducive to learning.

College Infrastructure

RNSIT boasts a well-maintained, spacious and green campus with modern facilities. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and smart boards, and the college has well-equipped laboratories, a large library and reliable internet/Wi-Fi connectivity across academic blocks. Sports and recreational areas, seminar halls, and student common spaces contribute to a conducive learning environment. Hostel buildings are present but some students feel that hostel facilities (especially room sizes and cleanliness) vary in quality. Overall, the infrastructure is often described as clean, supportive of academics, and student-friendly.
