Hey,

As Government of India offers subsidized price to study in IIT's, NIT's. So, fees of IIT's, NIT's are less as compared to Manipal, BITS.

NIT's charges around Rs.1 lakh/year (which includes tuition fees, hostel fees, mess fees) which is very less as compared to many other private colleges in India.

While pursuing B.tech. from any IIT's will cost around 2.5 - 3 lakh/year(which includes tuition fees, hostel fees, mess fees and other charges) depending upon the stream and IIT's.

Manipal fees structure for B.tech. is in the range from 4.2 - 4.8 lakh/year (which include tuition fees, AC hostel fees, mess fees), although you get great opportunities for more than 50% fee waiver on tuition fees, if scoring high marks.

Similarly, BITS offers B.E. instead of B.tech. which costs around 3.2 - 3.8 lakh/year(which include tuition fees, AC hostel fees, mess fees), although scholarships are offered to extra-ordinary students as well as to the students who are financially weak.
