Established in 2015, Ajeenkya DY Patil University was founded by the former Governor of Bihar Dr. DY Patil who is also a Padmashree recipient under the Government of Maharashtra Act 2015, The university is commonly known as ADVPU. Ajeenkya DY Patil University has nine schools through which various undergraduate and postgraduate courses namely School of Management, School of Information Technology, School of Design, School of Hotel Management, School of Engineering, School of Film and Media, School of Liberal Arts, School of Law, and DY Patil School of Architecture. Ajeenkya DY Patil University is a state university recognised by the University Grants Commission(UGC). The university has collaborated with various international universities such as Universitatea Stefan cel Mare Suceava, University of South Carolina etc. The university also conducts its own entrance examination known as ACET for offering admission to UG and PG courses.

Ajeenkya DY Patil University Location

The university is located at DY Patil Knowledge City Road Via Lohegaon, Airport Road, Charholi Budruk, Pune in Maharashtra. The nearest railway station is Pune Railway Station at a distance of  17 km that will take around 25 minutes to reach the university.  Students can take a bus from the P M P M L Bus Depot which is approximately 16 km away from the university. The nearest airport is Pune International Airport distance of 6 km away from Ajeenkya DY Patil University, Pune. It will take 21 minutes for students to reach the university.

• Debating Society - Students who want to sharpen their debating skills, communication skills, oratory skills can join the Debating Society of Ajeenkya DY Patil University. The society conducts various debating competitions throughout the year.

• Greentech Club-The members of the club focus on the conservation of energy and protection by the environment. The club organises various workshops, seminars, projects to spread awareness about the importance of nature.

• Mathematics Club- Students who love mathematics and are good with numbers should join the Mathematics Club of the university.

Ajeenkya DY Patil University Infrastructure and Facilities

The library has a large collection of books, journals, periodicals helping the students to meet the information needs and to cater to the research requirements of the teachers. An auditorium is a venue for organising all the university events such as guest lectures, annual programmes etc. The university has a commuting centre that caters to the computational requirements of the students as well as the faculty. Facilities are provided to the students for various ports such as lawn tennis, badminton, swimming, cycling, football etc.

A total of 52 courses are offered at diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Two diploma programmes are offered by the university- Diploma in Hotel Operations and PGDP Design Driven Entrepreneurship. Ajeenkya DY Patil University offers 33 undergraduate programmes and 17 postgraduate courses. Ajeenkya DY Patil University courses are B.A. L.L.B, L.L.B, B.Tech, L.L.M, M.Sc., M.B.A to name a few.

Ajeenkya DY Patil University Admissions

Candidates aspiring to take admission at Ajeeenkya DY Patil University must register and appear for ACET (ADVPU Common Entrance Test). Students who will pass the ACET need to attend the personal interview conducted by the concerned department of the university. Students willing to take admission in Design related programmes such as B.Des, M.Des etc have to appear for a campus studio test after qualifying for the ACET. For M.B.A admissions at Ajeenkya DY Patil University, candidates must appear for ACET and shortlisted candidates need to appear for group discussion and a personal interview.

Note: Admission to M.B.A Digital Marketing and E-Commerce and M.B.A International Business will be through CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA/CMAT/AAT scores.
