72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time Doctoral program and it is offered by Annamalai University, Annamalai Nagar. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
A pass in Master’s Degree in Linguistics / Translation Studies / any language with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA) or in an examination recognised as equivalent thereto. (or) A pass in any Master’s degree other than the above with 55% of marks with a condition that the candidate should complete his/her Master’s Degree in Linguistics/Translation Studies (through DDE) or post-graduate Diploma in Linguistics/Natural Language Processing before submitting the dissertation. For those candidates the degree will be awarded as Ph.D. in Linguistics (Interdisciplinary).
