The Bachelor of Physiotherapy program shall be under the Faculty of Medicine / Physiotherapy. The name of the Degree program shall be Bachelor of Physiotherapy – B.P.T

"Physiotherapy" means a branch of modern medical science which includes
examination, assessment, interpretation, physical diagnosis, planning and execution of treatment and advice to any person for the purpose of preventing, connecting, alleviating and limiting dysfunctions, acute and chronic bodily malfunction including life saving measures via chest physiotherapy in the intensive care units, curing physical disorders or disability, promoting physical fitness, facilitating healing and pain relief and treatment of physical and psychosomatic disorders through modulating physiological and physical response using exercises, physical agents, activities and devices including mobilization, manipulations, mechanical, electrical and thermal agents including therapeutic ultrasound and therapeutic LASER and electrotherapy including electrophysiology for diagnosis, treatment and prevention.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry & Biology with 50% aggregate marks and English as a passing subject.
For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), or Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer), the minimum aggregate marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination shall be 40% instead of 50% prescribed for Unreserved and General-EWS candidates.
For Persons with Disabilities (PwD), the minimum aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together shall be 40% instead of 50%. English is compulsory for all categories.
The candidate must have appeared in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the academic year of admission. There shall be no minimum qualifying marks or cut-off percentile required for application.
Admission shall be granted on the basis of NEET merit/marks of the academic year of admission. No cut-off marks or percentile shall be applicable for application.
Disability / Physical Fitness criteria shall be applicable as per the curriculum guidelines.
