The college had all the necessary infrastructure, facilties and equipment. The facilities in the classrooms , laboratories ,libraries are very good. The sports centres and hostels are very well maintained
I was studying B tech mechanical engineering . The quality of teaching is also very nice . The curriculum is updated and all the recent developments in the field. The study also makes us job ready and .
The quality is very good. The percentage of students that were placed were also good. The highest package in my college was offered to Information technology. The placement process was easy and pleasantly.
Not so good not so bad...they are giving a wifi free now and have a good labs .. cleaning of a collage is very good and discipline is the key point for all students here in dharmsinh desai University..........
VERY GOOD !! NOT A SINGLE PROFESSOR MISSES A SINGLE CLASS HERE AND WHOLE ACADEMIC SYLLABUS WILL BE COVERED NO MATTER WHAT AND EXAMS ARE VERY FREQUENT YOU CANT SEATTLE HERE CUZ EVERY 25 DAYS THERE IS A MIS EXAMS..
I have heard that they are getting a good placements here in dharmsinh desai University and last year many students (mostly all) students get a job... And the max package was of 75 lakh or something like that.
It cost me 150000 par year which I thing is very high .. provided the facilities they are giving their students this money is way more . But as they are giving a good placements and studying records it can be neglated.
This collage only focuses on studying ... No fun activities no big cultural events all you get is 7 days of a cultural week once a year which also includes a sports week in it so 7 days is all you get in ddu for fun.
I did say if you only want to study nothing else this is a best place for you to study because of the competitive environment me they provide but it is only for toppers we average students might don't like this stuff
It has infrastructure at least 50 years old. The mechanical workshop can fall on students at any time. The laboratory has equipment that have a place in museum. Everything from stools and chairs to PC is broken or way too old.
The professors are only interested in completing the syllabus which is way out of date. They are teaching us the same subject that was being taught to my uncle 25 years ago and yes that subject is not core subject which remains same.
Very dull, compared to other nearby universities. Only local and nearby companies participate. No initiative by so called "placement coordinators". The CTC is also quite low compared to the ones given by the same companies in other universities
Waste of money. Fee is approx. 150000rs/year which is an utter waste. No infrastructure facility, no hostel, very small and always overcrowded canteen.
There is no hostel, so only time spent in campus is for attending classes. A very small garden to enjoy whatever you want in the for years of your life.
This not a college for the VC. It is a bank for him to take money. They are inhuman. They are conducting exams for sem 2.4.6 in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic regardless of any government rule.
College is one of reputed and old university in Gujarat. It has the basic infrastructure, facilities and equipment. It might not be the latest but good enough. Sports center was not there after 1 year because of mbbs construction. The living spaces are hyginic.
I studied B.tech in IT. The quality of teaching is good but you can't rely only on professors and will have to do self study. The curriculum was not updated for us but they did change from later years.
If you are looking for a 10 LPA then you might not get that here but almost everyone gets placed. Mass recruiters come and offer around 3-4 LPA. There are other companies near Nadiad which hire. But,many students opt for higher studies via GATE, CAT or GRE .
It is good but the infrastructure and facilities needs to be improved. It is reputed university so everyone recognizes it and this helps even if you go for off campus placement. Even canteen needs renovation.
The campus life is average. We did not have many clubs or activities. The college canteen used to get crowded with so many student going there at the same time. It is safe and the support staff and teachers are good.
Overall a good university in Gujarat for graduation.
There is one canteen in the college which is quite small. There are very limited or almost no facilities of sports. There are playground available outside the campus but not inside. There is one library. There is no WIFI and poor network in college classrooms. The equipment in labs are sufficient and well equipped. No facilities of smart boards. The classrooms are sometimes dirty and not regularly maintained.
The curriculum is updated and the professors are well experienced and supportive. The curriculum is sufficient to make you job ready. There are 3 internals and 1 external in one semester. Three internals are not really required but it makes you better in handling pressure at workplace in future.
The placements in computer department are outstanding. Almost everyone got selected in our branch. The average package is quite good and highest in Faculty of Technology in this department. The placement processes are nice and pleasant and during this time, the college is very supportive and caring. Many companies including Crest, Amazon, Infosys, Microsoft, JusPay etc. came in 2020 and the package they offered were good.
The course costs minimal for students taking government admissions and for SFI, the cost is around 1.5 lakhs. The money is worth if you work hard and get a good placement. For me, it was worth it.
The campus life is quite average in terms of co curricular activities which are very limited because most students are focused on studies here. There is one annual fest organised in the campus. There are many clubs which have come up and are interesting if you are ready to invest your time in it. The professors are very supportive and the campus is safe and can handle emergency situations.
The campus is well facilitated with lab basic necessary lab equipment in every department. Sport are facilities are very limited (only badminton and table tennis court). No other sports ground or any such facility is available in college premises. Classrooms infrastructure is quite old. There is one library which is quite good for getting study related materials. There is one small canteen which needs to be expanded according to the no. of students in the college.
Professors are well experienced and the quality of teaching is good. But the number of exams are not really needed and they kind of burden the student leaving them to only focus on studies. The curriculum is updated. There are many researches going as well and students actively take part in them.
The number of placements are good. The average package is 4 - 5 lpa in 2020. Almost everyone got placed in one or the either companies. The placement process is easy and pleasant and the college is supportive in terms of placement.
The course was for around 1.5 lakh per year. The decision of the course being worth depends entirely on student.
The college campus is not so big. The campus life has been monotonous because students don't get much time to focus on club activities. The professors are supportive, while some are egoists. The location is safe from ragging. And the campus can handle emergencies.
Since the college is quite old, the infrastructure isn't that good. Canteen is small but hygienic. There's no sports center. Hostels are spacious but food isn't good. Labs are well equipped. Library is small but has lots of books from 1st edition to latest edition. Reading area for students is also present.
I am IT engineer and to be honest, department has great faculties. Curriculum changes with time and technology. And whatever they teach is helpful for long run. Quality of teaching is nice as they have different faculties for different subjects.
I have been placed in Crest Data Systems for 4.5 lpa. Placements are really great. They start from September and end by January. Average salary varies from 3.5 to 4.5. Companies like jeavio, infosys, cybage, silvertouch, amazon etc.
For IT they have self finance, so we have to pay ₹1.5 lacs for a year.
Campus life depends on the student here. In terms of sports and other co curricular activities you get minimal chances. The staff is supportive in terms of placement and studies. The campus is safe. There areno incidences of ragging.
Some labs are very well equipped while some have very old instruments. There is no WIFI in the campus as well as poor or nearly no network coverage in college promises. Canteen is average. The food is quality quite good but the size of canteen is very small compared to no. of students in the college. There is one badminton court and TT table which are poorly maintained. No other sports facilities. Classrooms are sometimes dirty. Library facility is good.
Professors in I.T. department are well experienced and helpful. The curriculum is updated, but some subjects were useless. The amount of exams one has to give is very burdening and is not really needed.
Placements are quite good in I.T. dept. Almost everyone got placed. The average package is 4-5L. For me the placement was pleasant and the process was easy. The college is very supportive in placements.
Campus life is boring here and college as well as students both are responsible for this. Compared to previous batches, more clubs have started emerging but still as compared to other colleges, students are less engaged in cultural and sport activities because of the no. of exams. But ultimately it depends on students. Very less no. of students actually have guts to manage time and put efforts to participate in co-curricular activities.
Most part of college infrastructure is old , probably of the time when it was first built. EC labs are also equipped with old equipments. Though they are renovating but its slow. College has a good library where most of the literature material other magazines are always available . No sports infrastructure.
Strict but helps the students who are sincerely interested in knowing stuff outside of syllabus and some faculties are really supportive. In some subjects curriculum is outdates and need update according to current scenario in technology.
As for ECE branch , placements are good for students with good academic record. Core companies of respective branch are also recruiting from this college and has a good reputation among industries ...
Since this college was established 50 years back, the infrastructure of the college is quite old. Because of this reason, classrooms still have greenboards, but still they have managed to have connections for projectors. Last year new classrooms were added, and many labs were renovated too. The labs are well equipped. Library is a bit old but they have all kinds of books and also a reading area for students. Food in canteen is hygienic and variety of food is there. Hostel rooms are spacious.
I am an IT student. The quality and the content of teaching has changed a lot from what it was 5 years back. Yes, courses are being changed according to the technologies used in the industry. They have different faculties for different subjects. Faculties are really helpful. For the final year placements, what we studied for 3 years helped a lot to get through it.
100% placements for all the students who opted for placement. Many companies like Crest datasystem, cybage, jeavio, silvertouch etc, mass recruiter Infosys participated in placement process. Even amazon participated for internship program of 6 months for students of CE and IT. Average placement for students can be 3.8 - 4.2 lpa. Placement process is very easy and faculties are always supportive for this. I have opted for higher studies but my friends got placed in various companies.
For an entire year, I have to pay 1.5 lakh fees. Since the infrastructure is old, it needs to be renovated. No doubt with time it's changing too. But it's a slow process. But IT department is self finance so I have to pay this much amount. Other departments have both govt and sf seats.
Campus life was amazing because of the friends you get. People from different places in gujarat come to study here and you come across variety of mindsets. As I said faculties are great and supportive. You can seek help from them for personal as well as study related matters. For every department they have faculty counselors too. Once in a year, a college fest named Felicic takes place. Location of the college is not that good. No doubt it's safe and you can get medical services nearby.
All I can say is you will definitely learn how to handle pressure, how to work in given time limits. Yes, definitely there will be struggle at start but with time one gets used to this way of living. This college will really help you develop a personality and you will understand it at a later stage.
Dear Aspirant,
Hello dear,
I think that you have to go for DDU Nadiad because it is better than SEAS Ahmedabad, especially for computer engineering. After all, their faculties are very experienced and helpful infrastructure is also good if you are thinking about placement then placement record is very good and many top companies are coming there for recruiting students and offer very high package.so, you have to go for it.
Hope This Helps.
