Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya is a central university in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, founded in 2009 under the Central Universities Act, No. 25 of 2009. It was formerly known as Guru Ghasidas University, which was established in 1983 by an Act of the State Legislative Assembly. The UGC has approved GGU as a university. The National Assessment & Accreditation Council has given it a B+ rating (NAAC). In 2021, GGU was ranked 42 in the Pharmacy category by the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF). The University is divided into 11 schools, which are further subdivided into 32 University Teaching Departments (UTDs) that cover almost the entire spectrum of higher education.

it has UGC, MHRD and  NAD approval and ranked 42 in pharmacy category by NIRF. it offers 69 courses over 10 streams. fees for BTech is around 1lakh 11 thousand, for B Phram is 1lakh 20 thousand, for BEd 23 thousand, for M Pharmacy 1 lakh 3 thousand and for MA fee is 13 thousand.

GGU Bilaspur is one of the most preferred and well-known college for Engineering or B.tech. this college alumni are at very good position in different companies in india and abroad also . fee of the engineering course is 30000 rupees per year. this is a central university under the MHRD Government of india. It has good infrastructure and facilities with very low fees . It is surely a good college to choose.

Placements: The placement record in this college is from good to decent. In the computer science branch, IT and ECE branches, the number of placements is very higher. Although in other branch of engineering, the placements is overall good.

Only 10-25% of students are merely placed in our course . The highest and average packages offered are approximately between 10-15 Lacs per annum. The college provides a few internships. Our college focuses on the GATE syllabus as well.

Guru ghasidas vishwavidhyalaya isn't good if you are aiming at placements . Particularly , it is not good for girls. It is only better for boys.

Infrastructure is also not at all good . There is problem in case of hostel facilities. It is not maintained properly . The hygiene is also a bit problem in this college.

Maximum students opt for higher studies like gate and cat. The average package also doesn't go above 3-4L per annum.

I would say that VBIT is a better college than ggu Bilaspur as the facilities available there are a lot better than that in ggu and the college has a great academic environment and the teachers are experienced. The placements vary each year but they are definitely getting better. The average salary offered is 3-4 LPA.

Mechanical students have very poor campus placements, and no companies visit for campus placements. There is no support for campus placements from any faculty members. The GATE exam is the only option for mechanical engineering students at this college. All the best.

GGU University is a good choice for studying mechanical engineering. Faculty is good here but it is said that industrial visits are less here.

The fee structure is also feasible here which is about: 28,850 for first year.

The placement here is good which is about 70%.

The average salary package is about 4-8 lakh per annum.
