96 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Earth and Climate Science is a doctorate program having areas of research in Petrology, Mineralogy, Thermodynamic modeling of fluid-rock interactions, REE mineralization, and mobility in the alkaline/peralkaline system.
Eligibility Criteria
Students with a minimum 55% marks in aggregate (overall percentage; with all subjects) or a CGPA of 6.0 out of a 10-point scale in master’s degree in: Geology/ Geophysics/ Physics/ Meteorology/ Atmospheric Science/ Space Physics/ Applied Physics/ Astrophysics/ Planetary sciences/ Environment Sciences.
Admission Details
1. Students must have a qualification certificate in any of the either tests-
- NET in Earth, Atmospheric Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Physics, Environment Sciences or,
GATE in Physics, Geology & Geophysics (GG), Atmospheric and oceanic sciences and Environment Sciences and Engineering.
2. Students will be selected to the Ph.D programme based on their performance in the interview, which will be conducted by the selection committee once eligible candidates are shortlisted.
Note: The interviews typically will be held in two sessions, one during the summer session (May - June), and another during winter (November - December).
