96 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Mathematics is a doctorate program having areas of research in Algebraic Geometry, Differential Geometry, Harmonic Analysis, Number Theory, Representation Theory, and Topology.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students with a minimum 55% marks in aggregate (overall percentage including all subjects) or CGPA 6.0 on a 10-point scale in Master’s degree in any branch of Science: Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Biological Sciences/ M.E./ M.Tech. or any equivalent degree.
- Candidates with B.E./ B.Tech degree with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (overall percentage including all subjects) or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale can also apply.
Admission Details
1. Students must have a qualification certificate in any of the either tests- CSIR-LS/ CSIR-JRF / UGC-LS / UGC-JRF / INSPIRE PHD/ NBHM PHD / GATE(MA) / GATE(ST) or any other National Fellowship.
2. Students will be selected to the Ph.D programme based on their performance in the interview, which will be conducted by the selection committee once eligible candidates are shortlisted.
Note: The interviews typically will be held in two sessions, one during the summer session (May - June), and another during winter (November - December).
