24 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Ayurvedic Medicinal Plant Sciences is a two-year full-time course offered by the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda, Jamnagar.
Subjects offered under Ayurvedic Medicinal Plant Sciences :
- Dravyaguna and Medical Botany related topics
- Pharmacognosy
- Phytochemistry- including drug standardization and pharmaceutical analysis
- Ayurvedic formulations
- Pharmacology and Toxicology of medicinal plants and medicinal plant based preparations
Qualifying age: Not Recommended
Medium of instruction/thesis writing: English
Admission Criteria: Academic record and research aptitude
Academic year: Enrolment will be made twice a year – March and October
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate holding Masters Degree in Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Sciences or Ayurvedic Medicinal Plant Sciences or equivalent will be eligible for registration for Ph.D. degree
