Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU), Bidar is a Public university in the Bidar district of Karnataka. The university was established in 2004, and as the name suggests it was formed with an aim to promote education in the field of Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Science education. Since its Operations, The University has accomplished many achievements. 

The university is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and offers programs in Bachelor, Masters and Doctoral programs. The university has a strong emphasis on practical training and research, to ensure that the students get an in-hand experience in their respective fields, and is considered one of the best Universities in Karnataka. 

There are 15 Colleges and Institutes under the University of Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU), spread across Karnataka. The university has various research centres which are dedicated to advancing the knowledge and understanding of Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries science.
