72 MonthsThe doctor of Philosophy(Ph.D.) program in Physics shall last for a minimum duration of three years, including coursework, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned offered by Madhabdev University, Lakhimpur.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have completed: i. A 1-year/2-semester master's degree programme after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor's degree programme or a 2-year/4-semester master's degree programme after a 3-year bachelor's degree programme or qualifications declared equivalent to the master's degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
Admission Details
- Admission to the Ph.D. program will be based on performance in the Madhabdev University Research Admission Test and UGC NET criteria (For those students who have qualified for 2024 UGC NET examinations) and interview cum Viva. Shortlisted candidates for the MDURAT will have to make a presentation of their synopsis of a research proposal before a panel of experts
