Gauhati University has beautiful and spacious campus with well-equipped labs, a central library, research facilities, hostels, and greenery that creates a peaceful atmosphere for research. however, some research facilities need upgradation.

The Ph.D. in botany offers excellent opportunitites for research in areas such as plant sciences, biotechnology, ecology, and environmental studies. My research uperviser as supportive, and the department encouraged seminars, publications.

As a Ph.D. program, there were no traditional campus placements. most scholars prepared for careers in academia, research institutes, government organizations, or the biotechnology sector. I felt the university could provide stronger industry collaborations.

I found the program to be excellent value for money. The university offers quality research facilitites, experienced faculty, and an affordable fee structure. For anyone interested in pursuing research, it provides a strong academic foundation.

The infrastructure is good, with a large campus, a lot of greenery, and decent classroom, laboratory, and library facilities. Some of the facilities are quite new, but some of the departments could be improved upon.

The placement scenario is average to below average for most of the Arts courses. Very few companies come for placement, and most of the students opt for higher studies or appear for exams. Some of the departments are better than the others.

The college has good infrastructure, facilities, and equipment. The library has good collection of books and journals, magazines. The labs are working, there is wifi, sports center, hostels, gyms, are available. The living spaces are clean and hygienic food available.

I have done my bachelor degree in education and the teachers were very supportive and high-qualified, teach everything very well. The course curriculum is updated as per the present needs and the study really made me teacher job ready.

Anthropology department is really good. You will have diverse experience. Faculty are experts in diverse fields- social, cultural, and biological anthropology. There will be fieldwork surveys, research projects etc. The curriculum is mixed of theory and hands-on experiences, making learning both practical and academically enriching.

There is limited direct placements but the program will prepare students for research, NGOs, other possible related fields. The departments helps students for ugc net and in guiding for academic career paths.

I'm in my 3rd semester of master of education, till now the interaction with teachers was pretty good they are very good at teaching. The curriculum is also updated and includes all the recent developments. I feel like the course will make me job ready in education field.

As I have not experienced any placements directly but I have heard from seniors it's good. The placements cell is working and tries to bring more companies or organisation in the campus for students recruitment. But mostly it's good for technical courses rather than arts.

As a state university gauhati college has all the facilities and infrastructure. The classroom have good ventilation light, white boards, wifi, but no smart boards. The living spaces are clean nd food is hygienic. They are all used and well maintained.

There is no good placements for our department almost nothing. They provide good placements for mba and all courses and the salary range is okay okay. The placements should work on providing everyone at least a small or big opportunity.

My department was economics as i did my postgraduation in Economics, coming from private institutions i was not expecting that good teaching quality but happily i got the best teachers. The course syllabus was upto date and It gave me more knowledge.

The quality of placements is good for technical courses but for our department it was okay okay. the average salary ranges from 2 to 3 lakhs per annum. And there is workshops, and other kind of short training opportunities comes.
