Mahatma Gandhi Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University, Gadag Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The University has an independent library with state-of-the-art facilities. It has sufficient reading space, several valuable books & journals, and a Computer Lab with internet facility. Steps are being taken to add an e-resource to benefit students and staff.

The University has a department-based laboratory facility for the students.

The University has an excellent IT infrastructure for the students.

The University has sports facilities for all students. The Directorate of Physical Education and Sports in the Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University is recognized by the U.G.C. under 2(f) of the U.G.C. Act. It started its activities in the academic year 2017-18. The Directorate conducts the University Athletic Meet Annually to benefit students and faculty. The Directorate focuses not only on the physical well-being of the students but also on integral transformational learning by conducting competitions like Chess, Yoga Practice, etc. Students of the University are actively participating in Inter-School and All-India Inter-University competitions. Right now, the activities are carried out by Dr. Veereshkumar B. Vijapur, as Assistant Director of Physical Education and Sports. 

The university has an auditorium for events and seminars.

The University has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The university has a guest house/waiting room facility for visiting faculty and student family members.

The University has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The university has a girls' hostel facility, which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
