Master of Technology in Power Electronics and Power Systems is a two-year full-time course offered at the National Institute of Technology Goa.

Power Electronics is the application of solid-state electronics for the control and conversion of electric power. It refers to a subject of research in Electrical and Electronics Engineering which deals with design, control, computation and integration of nonlinear, time varying energy processing electronic systems with fast dynamics.

To train graduate engineers in the field of Power Electronics and Power Systems.

To make them versatile in new emerging Technologies for high power applications.

To train competent engineers and professionals, who can meet the demands of the industries as well as academia in the fields of power electronics and power systems.

Eligibility Criteria

In qualifying degree, the candidates should have passed and secured at least 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% for OC/OB, whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates. The above-mentioned CGPA/Percentage should be awarded by a recognized University/Institute.

Admission Details

M.Tech Programme, the Institute admits students through valid GATE score followed by CCMT (Centralized Counselling for M.Tech Admissions).

We have 24/7 Wi-Fi and the labs and Good library facilites with anytime access. We also have good facilities at hostel there's no complain at all about the facilities and infrastructure. The quality of facilities we get at hostel is good and about food it's totally different from our home food ofcourse but it's nice.
