Infrastructure : Just 2 buildings with few classrooms. There is so less space that now they have divided each classroom into a classroom and a PhD lab. Industry Exposure : None for CSE and ECE. For EEE it has namesake Industrial Visit College Life : Got some good fests and as its Goa... its fun!! Placement : This year placement went pretty good. Companies are still coming!! Hostels : Hostels are the worst!! Flats with 8 people living together. :( Professors: They are young, energetic and with a new vision of the world.

I joined NIT Goa in 2014. It has 3 branches: CSE, ECE, EEE. It is having a temporary campus situated in GEC Campus alongside IIT Goa. It has a main building and a new block consisting of labs, classrooms, and library. Industry Exposure isn't so good. It has merged its technical and cultural festival and organized a techno-cultural fest "Saavyas" this year. Placements this year were the best NIT Goa it saw and is bound to improve. I got placed in RIL as a Graduate Engineer Trainee. Hostels are basically 2BHK flats which are shared among 6-8 students. It has good eatable places around the campus. A recommendation is Umesh Gaddo near GEC Library and Sandeep at Farmagudi. NIT Goa provides you with a ton of opportunities and it's up to you if you grab it or not. Students from NIT Goa have got opportunities to represent the College and India all around the world, so it's all up to you.

I joined the college in 2014. At that point it had just inaugurated its new block with well equipped labs and best in the class lecture halls. Since 2014 NIT Goa has not looked behind, our first tech-fest "Technival" happened that year which was a great success. We even had a cultural fest "Raag" last year. The Faculty is young but exceptionally good. There isn't much industry exposure but things our changing from this year onwards under the guidance of our new Director. Food courts and Canteen is cheap around and quite good. Mess food is OK and Hostel is only provided for B. Tech, though M.Tech girls are also allowed. Overall a very good institute living its NIT Goa name. P.S. Its in Goa, so there is fun whole 4 years.. :)

I am third year CS student at NIT Goa. After scoring 167 in mains and getting 96.4% in CBSE 12th board exams I got an air of 10010. Currently ,NIT Goa runs in its temporary campus . It is situated in the lush green GEC campus , another engineering college in Goa. Our campus is very small but is well equipped with all the modern state of the art amenities . There are various labs for every branch with all the equipments and machines required. The faculty of this college is the best part of this college . They are dedicated and always thrives for the betterment of the students. Looking at the college life and the fests , NIT Goa has TECHNIVAL(the technical fest) and RAAG(the cultural fest) which are organized by the college students every year. The temporary campus has its own canteen which serves pretty delicious meal during the college hours. There are various events which happens throughout the year and there is absolutely no ragging. Being in Goa there are places like beaches and waterfalls and numerous events and parties that one can enjoy. There are fields and court near the campus to satisfy the sports requirement . Also, there is a small sports room which caters the requirement for indoor sports. Hostels are the weak part of the college . They are rented 2 BHK flats in the GEC campus. There is water shortage frequently and there are cleanliness issues. Also, the mess food is average. But, this shouldn't be a factor for not joining the college as there are many PGs available nearby. Placements have been pretty nice and are getting every year. The exact statistics is available on college's official website. In addition to that there are a lot of opportunities if one is inclined towards research. To conclude , if you are looking to strive towards academic excellence and can adjust with the limited facilities that the campus can provide, you are welcome to this college.

NIT Goa will provide you with many more opportunities. You will get ample amount of time to do research and publish papers where you will get an opportunity to work under the guidance of some highly qualified professors. Companies like Barclay Card USA, Amazon, Samsung, LnT Infotech, Polaris, AQ, Mu Sigma come to the institute for campus placements. About faculties, you would be amazed to see people who with Publication and Projects. Only con is that it has not a great campus as compared to other old NITs. Otherwise a good college.

The hostel is that great but the roommates and warden were really cooperative and nice. In study wise, the teachers were really good and they explain things really well. Concerning the campus, it isn't that big but all the facilities are provided. It even provides good sports facilities and the mess food is preety decent. Overall it's a good college.

Well the college life is pretty much hardworking. It's like you spend a lot of time on your project so as to studying. We have got the best faculty from different IITs, IIsc, IIM share their experiences and also help a lot in our project. The college is trying to get a 360 acre campus in future. However the infrastructure is very well made. Different technical courses are also offered during the winter and summer vacation

NIT Goa is a new NIT. 3 branches of engineering providing B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD degrees. Infrastructure is not so good as it is now functioning in a temporary campus. Placement for B.Tech is good ,can't say the same for Mtech. But it has a very highly qualified faculty members comparable to even OLD IITs. It has various study clubs one can join and learn from. New initiatives are being taken by various faculty members to give a overview of present market scenario. Labs are fully equipped and stays open 24×7 365 days a year. Student crowd is less and as such you get more importance in classrooms. Results are very good. Research papers are being published by the students in international level. College life is good. But Hostel facilities are only for Btech. Mtech girls candidates are also provided hostels. Mtech boys and the PhD students have to manage a stay of their own. If you don't stay in hostel, reaching college can be hectic as it is situated in a hilltop and no college bus or public transport ply on the road to NIT. Gender ratio is 1:4. Various companies visit during campus placements. NIT Goa had 75% placement for ECE and EEE each and 100% placement for CSE. (Stats are for academic year 2016).

NIT Goa is in its temporary campus now. Therefore, facilities are limited due to space constraints. But research is highly encouraged and appreciated. The faculty is very good and willing to help. Sports facilities are also limited. The hostel and mess facilities are poor.

The college is doing good despite having a lot of issues like a lack of full fledged campus. All the professors are highly qualified with each of them having a Doctorate from some of the top institutes in and outside India. The facilities are not up to the mark but its good enough.

My experience studying in this college is disappointing and certainly not upto the expectation. Few faculty members are very good and helpful whereas others are bad. There are no facilities for students like Institute ground and transportation. No extra curricular activities as no proper functioning club is there except Toastmasters and only one technical event called "Technival" will be held every year beginning from last year.

NIT GOA

Posted on 15 Jul' 15 by Bhaveen Kumar
"Infrastructure - The institute functions in a temporary campus with an campus span of a few acres . The institute is striking hard to get a permanent campus and would be allowed land within two months based on smriti iranis visit to goa. Placements - NIT GOA has one of the highest Placements percentages among all the nit's and saw healthy no of placements for the first two batches passing out from the institute.Official data of this years placements has not been released yet. The highest package this year was around 12 lakhs. Faculty - The institute has a good set of faculty, from top institutes like IISC, IITB. With the exception of a couple of professors all have a phd. Most of our faculty are still assistant professors. Many of our faculty are ex faculty of BITS GOA, NIT SURATHKAL, WARRANGAL. Facilities- We share our sports facilities with Goa engineering college(GEC) . There is a canteen within the institution building and there are many canteens, a restraunt, a bank within the campus of GEC inside which the NIT Campus is situated. The mess food is good hostel facilities are decent not that great but you get used to it pretty fast."

Since NIT Goa is established in 2010..Its infrastructure is small but is sufficient for us...as far as placements are concerned no college can beat it....we do have a college canteen in which we get very hygienic and tasty food.....library is quite small but works properly...we have a separate building for sports facilities..In addition to that we have many college clubs in which i am a member of Drama club..Faculty are the best faculties........
