The CSE department at NIT Goa is one of the most sought-after branches , known for its strong academic background and growing research culture. The curriculum is well structured , regularly updated to match industry trends and includes core subjects like Data structures, Algorithm, Operating system, Machine learning,etc. Faculty members are highly qualified, many holding Phds from reputed institutes, and are approachable for academic guidance and project work. The department promotes coding culture through active clubs and regular hackathons. Students are encouraged to take part in research, internship and national level coding competitions.

NIT goa offers a developing yet efficient infrastructure that supports academic and student life adequately. Currently functioning from its temporary campus in Farmagudi, the institute provides well maintained classroom, equipped with modern reaching aisa, along with functional library, laboratories for core engineering students. The central library has a decent collection of books and provides access to digital resources. Hostel facilities are available for both male and female students with wifi services and secured environment. While the space is somewhat limited due to temporary setup, the institute compensates with good management of available resources. Sports facilities and cultural facilities are also present to support student activities beyond academics. The construction of the permanent campus at Cuncolim is underway, promising advance infrastructure in the future.

The CSE branch at NIT Goa gas shown consistently strong placements compared to other branches. In 2024 , around 86% of CSE students got placed , with an average package of approximately 10.7LPA and highest reaching 20LPA. Top recruiters include Amazon,infosys,TCS, Adobe and Deloitte. The department maintains a solid coding culture, with students actively participating in internships, hackathon,etc.

All the teachers are well qualified, and of course knowledgeable as well. Teaching quality is decent. Some teachers teach very good.The course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are easy if you start studying from start but if you start to study 12 hrs before the exams then you will get almost 7 CGPA.

Facilities are good but the thing I like is the Wi-Fi. It used to work with quite good speed.Classrooms are very good. Library is very good. A lot of sitting capacity is there with ACs and around 1-3 lakh books are there in it.

The placements in are decent,since I am from mechanical, some of mechanical students got 1 crore package too .If you can work hard then you can get good CTC from the all companies. Many get 35 lpa in campus placement, the lowest package we got is 4 LPA and the highest is 35 lpa.On an average, the percentage of placement is around 85 - 95%, A mechanical student can get almost all the roles from other companies from chemical to aerospace.

Courses like entrepreneurship and communication skills will help you crack interviews and deals in the future. There must be interest made in subjects by teachers so that students can have an interest in subjects so that it will help in future opportunities. Subjects must be chosen precisely so that students have a deep knowledge of the subject.

The hostel rooms are provided with a table, chair, B.Ed. wardrobe, and many other small things. The hostel also provides us with the facility of Wi-Fi, which enhances the education of the students. The facility of the meal is also quite good and offers us a wide range of meals for carbohydrate, protein, and vitamin intake, which is very crucial for health.

The placements at our college are quite good, which is the best thing about our college. Many repeat companies visited our college, like Wipro and many international companies. Last year, the highest package of electrical branch the student had was 2 CPA. The average package for the mechanical department is 8 to 10 LPA, and the highest may be 27 to 30 LPA. In all departments, the percentage of students getting placements is 90 to 95 percent.
