National Institute of Technology Goa (NITG) is a government-funded institution that was established in the year 2010. According to NIRF Ranking 2023, the National Institute of Technology Goa has been ranked 90th under the engineering category. NIT Goa is an autonomous college and functions under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

The National Institute of Technology Goa is located on the north side of Goa at a plateau named Farmagudi, Ponda. The campus is at a distance of around 29 kilometres from the southeast of Panaji, the capital of Goa. The best route to reach the campus is to take a bus from Ponda KTC Bus Stand which is nearly 4.2 kilometres away from NIT Goa. The nearest railway station to the campus is Karmali Railway Station which is at a distance of around 17 kilometres and Goa International Airport is located at a distance of approximately 38 kilometres from the institute.

National Institute of Technology Goa has been providing quality education to students for more than the past 10 years. In order to make it accessible to all, NIT Goa has partnered with different government and non-government associations to provide financial aid to deserving students. In order to avail these scholarships, students need to fulfil the eligibility criteria announced by the institution such as performance in the previous exam, the annual income of the household, etc. More details about NIT scholarships are provided below

National Institute of Technology Goa Scholarships

Name	Amount offered	Eligibility
Goa Shipyard Limited Scholarship	Rs. 4,800 per annum	Must belong to the SC/ST/OBC caste from Goa. The annual household income should not exceed Rs. 1,50,000.
Post-matric Scholarship	-	The annual income of the candidates’ parents should not exceed Rs. 2,50,000. Should belong to the Scheduled Tribes students within India.
Scholarship under Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana	-	Students who belong to the scheduled tribes and whose family income is less than Rs. 3 Lakhs per annum.
Merit-Based Award for ST students	-	Students who have secured 50 per cent or above in the previous exam. Students who belong to the scheduled castes. Students whose household annual income is within Rs. 5 Lakhs.
National Scholarship for Higher Education for ST Students	-	Students who belong to ST background and whose family income should be within Rs. 4.50 Lakhs annually.
