NIT Manipur (NITMN) Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The NIT Manipur facilities for the accommodation of students include three hostels for accommodating the students admitted in NIT Manipur for various courses. Out of these three hostels, two hostels can be booked by the male students who reside elsewhere. The students interested in occupying a hostel room must fill the application form for the same during the admission. There are limited seats available currently in the hostel premises, and the institute is planning on the expansion of the hostel premises. The students are provided with all the essential facilities in the hostel required for a daily routine. The hostel premises are installed with CCTV Surveillance cameras for security purposes, and each hostel has been appointed a warden.

Each department in NIT Manipur consists of multiple laboratories for students to get thorough practical knowledge of their subject and undertaking research projects. The laboratories are fully furnished with all the modern conveniences like modern apparatus, tools, devices, and machines that will facilitate the students for conducting experiments.

One of the fascinating NIT Manipur facilities is the Central Library of NIT Manipur comprises several editions, books, study material, volumes relating to the subjects of engineering, technology, science, humanities, general affairs, etc. The students can access the e-library of NIT Manipur through their login id and password. The students can also download different soft copies, research papers, and other relevant notes, which can help them in their examination.

The NIT Manipur allows the students to enjoy indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The institute also provides the required equipment to play different spots, both indoor and outdoor. The sports club of NIT Manipur also encourages the students to perform better in sports.

The common computer center constructed by the NIT Manipur is installed with modern desktops that enable the students to undertake experiments and conduct research in their relevant specialization. The computer center is fully air-conditioned and consists of all the basic amenities that are required.

The NIT Manipur consists of a branch of the State Bank of India. ATMs of the State Bank of India and ICICI are also available for the students.

Transportation facilities have been made accessible for the students by the institute. If the students need to commute from the temporary campus to the permanent campus of NIT Manipur, they can use the private vehicles or buses made available to them by the institute.

The medical unit of NIT Manipur consists of paramedical staff as well as a doctor who is available on call and are present on the campus premises. An ambulance is also available on the institute campus in case of emergencies. The students can also be shifted to nearby medical institutions like the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences and JNIMS, which are located in Imphal. 

Campus have ramps and lifts in its 80% of the building for physical challenged students.
