Course Objectives

• To enhance competence in pest and disease surveillance, forecasting, and risk assessment for effective crop protection strategies.
• To impart advanced theoretical and practical knowledge on insect pests, plant pathogens, and their interaction with crops under different agro-ecosystems.
• To develop a clear understanding of the biology, taxonomy, ecology, epidemiology, and population dynamics of insects and plant pathogens.
• To train students in modern diagnostic tools, molecular techniques, and experimental methods used in entomology and plant pathology research.
