BA English Hons at Sikkim Manipal University, Gangtok Offline Course

B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) Honours in English is a four year full-time course in the Department of English offered by Sikkim Manipal University, Gangtok. However, there are other courses offered by the same department including B.A. English having a duration of three years (without honours) and B.A. English Honours with Research having a duration of four years. 

The department aims to develop an understanding of the discipline of English Language and Literature and promoting analytical, critical, and creative attitude-based education among the learners. It aims to enable the students to develop artistic and critical competencies needed for meeting the challenges and needs of the real world effectively. The Department of English actively engages the students by providing an interdisciplinary method of study of English Literature, combining the subject with other disciplines, which helps the students construct their ideas and knowledge on the subject.
